Has anyone found this?
Was doing trial of style all day on different characters. I still need to do leather. But when I did cloth I used this character, placed every single time. Sometimes 3rd, sometimes 1st, but I didn’t lose once.
So I tested this, I went on a warrior for plate, she’s a worgen. I kept losing. So I turned her into the human form, gave her darker skin, started winning all of a sudden.
How I mog hasn’t changed. I always try to theme match. Just seems a bit weird I can win easily/way more often even to the point of every time on some characters and not win ever on others.

I don’t even vote tbh
(But if I did I probably wouldn’t vote for worgen aka dogs in outfits)

There’s a reason why people pay to get tanned.

Correlation is not causation. Female Blood/Void Elves and Humans usually look good in many armor models, whereas Worgen is outright HORRENDOUS.

Vierard does have the darkest skin, and either medal’d or won in all of his matchups.
Over at the horde, only blood elves win.

Splassy beat everyone out for mail including female blood elves with plate/cloth on “Fun and flirty”.
Gurda only had to do a few to get me the leather and she’s pretty pale.
Seems extremely unlikely.
But if the team of political activists that develop WoW snuck in some kind of melanin-bonus to trial of style, that’s absolutely hysterical.

I only win if it’s summer themed.

Most of my matchups were on Diamict, and while she’s a fairly dark Dark Iron, I think interesting mog choices (not just a whole set or mogging as much off as possible) and being friendly and complimenting other players has a lot more to do with it than skin tone.
Obviously, an awesome looking toon doesn’t hurt, though.
Splassy, Gurda, Diamict, and Vierard were my transmog team this time around. Splassy was probably objectively my most successful because he had one match up (fun and flirty) that he took first in, netting me enough tokens to buy all the mail I didn’t have.
I do think people reward unusual or bold choices, as long as they look good. So dark skin on a void elf with purple hair is already looking more interesting than a toon who looks exactly like two other elves in the group.
If you really want to win go in as a naked male Tauren with a plain strider drumstick and a pan. I won right away!

One easy thing people can do to help increase their odds of winning =
Go to the barber shop and change your gender from male to female.

I always voted for whoever actually put in effort vs. the character wearing it. I can’t say that I ever paid attention to the character’s skin tone.
If someone was intentionally underdressed to get votes, I voted against them 100% of the time.

I’ve won on multiple race/class combinations, (all male btw) try not to read too much into it.
