I got on the game today after the update. And i got the message hardware not detected reset to default settings. yes or no. wasnt sure which to click and hit yes. game loaded as usual and runs ok. But my lap top fan is running much harder and loud and never did before. Computer is only 2 months old. And graphics is supported and updated. Nothing else has been changed/added

What has likely happened is the reset to defaults set all the game graphics to recommended settings. Previously you may have had some of those settings lower. You may want to experiment there. I would check Shadow and Water settings then the 3 main slide adjustment settings.
