Who else is going to use the dark troll customization options in shadowlands? I for one can’t wait and just boosted this character in anticipation.

my survival hunter will 100% be using that option with pale white war paint option. What im going with is this hunter is a bwonsomdie cultist. A true devotee of the wild dedicating any kills to her loa.
Personally tho i might not play her since… well… hunters look week next xpac.
Actually, back in Warcraft 3, I created custom maps with a hero as a dark troll warlord named Korek. I’ve kept the name, but I’ve since settled on roleplaying as a Firetree forest troll. I would love to customize as this:

Ahh I actually have this dark troll berserker named Hal’zu (he’s a pretty new RP character, I just started fleshing him out story-wise) and I will totally be using the options when they come out! I’ve had a few friends/guildies in the past that have RPed dark trolls and I can only imagine that they’re beyond stoked. I’m going to have my boy look like this:

So as for his backstory, I really enjoy the speculation that some of the dark trolls might have joined the Twilight’s Hammer to escape the massacre of their tribe/clan. That’s what I chose for Hal’zu’s story. Essentially his family was killed in front of him, and scared out of his mind, he joined the clan to escape death. But once he was in the clan, he worked to feed information to outside sources in order to help take the clan down. Once the majority of it was defeated, he stole one of their twilight drakes and escaped, going into hiding. Since then he’s pretty much been exclusively working in the background to help take down void-related threats.

Honestly Dark Trolls were confusing to me for a long time.
I’d run into DT rpers and thankfully, as most of my toons are Forsaken, it was in character to have zero clue what they were talking about.
I’d completely spaced out their brief appearance in WC3 as canon fodder in the Nelf and Horde campaigns.
Also some seem to have the headcanon the Shatterspear were Dark Trolls when I’m certain they were Jungle Trolls.
I do genuinely love Trolls. But I’ve never really written one before. Because for most of their classes; I can just think of a more interesting character for an undead, orc, belf or Tauren.
That’s changed with the great post BFA content draught. Getting around to leveling both a Paladin and Shaman now, a Zandalari and Darkspear respectively.
And if anyone has like a lore video I can check out I’d be appreciative. Troll lore is vast and dense and full of hastily made retcons.
