When hovering over the icy talons tooltip in game, it states that “runic power spending abilities deal shadowfrost damage”, but death strike is still physical. Bug or tooltip error?
i think they forgot about DS and its more about their laziness with the class
tested on a dummy DS does only physical damage

That’s not what it says.
It says “Runic Power spending abilities also count as Shadowfrost damage.” That means you can take Dark Talons and Bloodshot while having Death Strike benefit from both.
Not a bug or tooltip error; working as intended.
Hover over your icy talons buff and tell me what it says, as the post states very clearly. (Both on live and ptr)
There is a clear discrepancy here between the two tooltips that I would like the developers to clarify or fix for the sake of consistency.

I apologize; is misread this as “Icy Talons isn’t doing X for Blood” and not that the tooltip was stating X.
The functionality I mentioned is intended but the tooltip is definitely bugged for Blood.

Either way, looks like dark talons will be the meta with the upcoming changes, which I am stoked for because casting triple soul reapers buffed by 20% on demand at any hp% is going to be FUN
Dont test things on target dummies. There are a lot of things not working on target dummies that are actually working on enemies. This is happening throughout Paladin still that things arent working on target dummies but work everywhere else.
