Black Arrow now empowers Rapid Fire adding a Tracer Round (Shadow Damage ) every two shots of Rapid Fire shot.
This would generate focus and of course look cool.

Hell.
They could make it baseline so all of our autos are now empowered with shadow magic, giving a purple glow to every auto shot for more of that thematic fantasy.
But yeah, your proposal is better. Honestly any proposal would really be better.
