Dark ranger felt so smooth, had a much needed bleed, and did great damage before the change. Now, our much needed bleed is gone and our killshot was replaced with a slightly better version, but not really. It does the same amount of damage but another 10% over 10 seconds, which for me as a geared pvper is under 30k. 30k over 10 seconds is 3k dmg a second, thats less than .5% of my max hp. Some of the passive changes like bleak powder and shadow surge are nice, but man did they butcher it, and now its getting nerfed too. The new animations are cool though. They really dont like hunters right now, do they?

Yeah, DR is SO much better now that it loses to Sentinel in literally every scenario. I’m all for playing the class/spec you enjoy, but when the one I WANT to enjoy feels like using a wet noodle to fight a dragon, there’s not much fun to be had.

It would be fun if it wasn’t bugged and pulling unintended aggro, even thru walls!
That’s just a tuning problem. Don’t worry, I’m sure Blizzard will look at Dark Ranger numbers after the bug fix and make any necessary tuning changes…

Not to add in they paid one developer to retool the aesthetics of it and make it look cool, just to have another developer come in and destroy the spec to the point it’s unplayable in all content.
That’s assuming the latter developer mentioned isn’t actually AI because these changes are just incomprehensible.

Is DR the thing people are most upset about? Is Sentinel MM still fine or even better than it was last week?
We were good for 1 whole week. Why did they have to change us? This is absurd!

No Dark Ranger was bad. I will say only change I would have made was to have Black Arrow replace arcane shot. for MM and Cobra Shot for BM
I still think Black Arrow should have replaced Steady Shot with an internal CD for the dot.
Ohh how about this Black Arrow replaces Steady Shot and every tick of the dot restores focus
after 2.5 nerfs its no better than regular killshot, especially at a high level. sentinel does more ST and AOE now.

new dark ranger is just the same exact as regular marks except your killshot does a tiny bit more damage, still not as useful as aimed shot, and extremely rarely procs extra damage. Old incorporated a bleed into its rotation that felt great. u whack
Unless it was changed the issue I had with Sentinel is that tanks move mobs out of the damage circle so unless that was changed where the dmg follows the mobs then imo DR is still better than Sentinel
Old was TRASH, its much more exciting having Black Arrow proc here and there and weave it in. Old was a fire and forget, you have that with explosive shot. If you base everything on damage your just stupid as that gets tuned all the time.
