Dark Ranger Beast Mastery PvP Adjustments - November 11, 2024

Soon today (November 11), we will apply the following changes via hotfix:

Player versus Player

Hunter

  • Beast Mastery
    • Dark Ranger: Black Arrow damage decreased by 15% in PvP combat.
    • Dark Ranger: Hunter’s Prey now increases the damage of Kill Shot by 5% per stack in PvP combat (was 10%).

These have been performance outliers recently.

BM Hunters were repped accordingly when this change went out:

  • 14% of all dps specs in Shuffle
  • 11% of all dps specs in 3v3
  • 21% of all dps specs in 2v2

this wont be the full nerfs. emergency nerfs if anything. they dont do anything meaningful when awc is around.

Are there any plans to buff underperforming specs? Unholy went from top to bottom after the last nerfs, dont you think that was too much? Spec went back to doing no damage when your CDs are on cooldown and on top of that the spec is extremely weak. Our only source of healing (Death strike) is extremely nerfed to a point where its not worth using in pvp.

And the fun part is that Blood is doing better atm than Unholy and Frost…
