I think the dark ranger could fit better as a rogue specialization. Remove the outlaw spec and replace with Scout. The Scout spec uses bows and crossbows only, guns are loud not very good for sneaking.
Sinister strike becomes sinister shot, eviscerate becomes black arrow, nightmare shot summons a creature that temporarily taught your target, etc.
Added Edit: Alternatively we can make the subtlety spec the range weapon spec, it already fits the shadow theme
These are just some quick thought on how I would do it.
Side thought; honestly I think the outlaw spec and the survival hunter spec should be removed and use to create an entirely new class. Outlaw; swashbuckler spec & bounty hunter spec.
Yeah thatâs gonna be a no from me, dawg. I already played âwhat have you sacrificed?â when locks handed over some class identity to DHs, I have no desire to see that happen again.
Well we can make subtlety a ranged weapon spec then. It already fills the shadowy theme. Those who like dagger stabbing have Assassination, those who like swashbuckling have Outlaw, and those who want a more dark ranger theme can go Subtlety(Scout). Why does the rogue classed even need two specializations that focus on daggers?
I like it, but it could just be a new 4th spec for rogues. A ranged rogue would be really fun, and since they already have the ability to use shadow magic, it makes sense for Dark Rangers to be rogues.
No. hunter needs a 4th spec more than rogue after the survival fiasco
dark ranger would even be able to snipe some old survival abilities like black arrow
I really donât think giving classes additional specializations is a good thing. I even hate the Druids and how it has four specializations. If you want a solar/lunar theme spec give it to the priests and move discipline spec to the paladin(Replacing the current healing spec).
