I remember a few months earlier that dark pact wasn’t scaling, even though lifetap was. Is this a bug that got fixed, or just part of the “classic experience”?

it drains a set amount of mana, whats there to scale?
With that logic Lightning Bolt shouldn’t scale because it does a set amount of damage.

Yeap but how can you increase your pets mana pool beyond arcane int?
The talent would scale really well until you hit the point where you drain your pet in a couple of casts.Life tap scales with your gear.
Dark pact never scaled in vanilla. In fact, Life tap even scaling was a very late addition in patch 1.11. There are a lot of things that should have scaled much better that don’t.
You don’t have to. You just summon another with full mana and pact it away. Not that it actually matters when your raid has 10+ warriors dropping bosses like flies.
Yeah It never scaled. I remember using it a while before I dropped it for Ruin when my gear caught up. It was really annoying the raid with the constant “Boing boing boing boing” noises as I tried to drain my pet’s mana, lol.
Make it scale with spirit, just like evocation.
