Im nearing unlocking the dark iron dwarves and ive been planning to make a dark iron shaman as soon as i do.
However, i simply cant deciee between male or female. I think the female casting animations are a little better, but they lack some of the “cute” faces of standard dwarves. However, the males would obviously look better with all the fiery-themed 2h mace and axe transmogs ive been collecting from mc/bwl/bwd/firelands. Putting sulfuras on a female dwarf seems a bit odd.
So which do you guys think looks better

Either way they’re cool. I just enjoy the way makes looks more in the armor. Some people dig the exaggerated stocky hourglass of fem dwarves.
I’ve always enjoyed the male dwarf animations, both casting and melee. They look pretty cool in heavy armor too.
If only 2h WF was still a thing.

I’m considering playing classic just to enjoy playing a shaman for that very purpose haha.
I only play women, as a woman as it’s what I’m most comfortable with.
I like the looks of both and think it simply is unfair to compare the looks of males and females when we’re both quite different types of humanoid!
You do you, of course.
Regardless of our many opinions only you can make a final satisfied decision.

Well, I’m both biased and beautiful…so there’s that. 
This is a win win for you OP. You can’t go wrong with either choice.

While I love either one, my vote goes to male. Why? BEARDS lad. Beards.

I’ve based my decision entirely on the fact that I think the heirloom armor looks better on male DI dwarves.
I’d say male if you plan to dps. The animations are better for elemental.
Female if you plan to main resto - the healing animation is pretty good.
Good thing we don’t mix fantasy here. A certain ranger used to joke that the dwarf lasses had beards 
As a dude that rolls fem toons most times (aesthetics and sheer bulk) I have to say Shortround is feeling pretty dang good to pilot. Cool animations, no need to try to make him anything but rugged looking, and smaller physical size than most races so it’s easy to see/click around him.

My guy, look at me, i am the perfect specimen. I am all that is Dark Iron! These fools, RAGNAROS WILL RISE AGAIN AND WITH OUR NEW REFORMATION SWALLOW THE WORLD IN FIR… Oh um cough Sorry, yea the guys looks pretty good. Antorus Mythic Mog is the best mog.

The males have the most epic flame beards if you do black hair so if fire is something you like the aesthetic of I would definitely choose male just because their beard adds to fiery mogs.
