Dark Iron Dwarf or MagHar Orc Shaman?

I’m so torn between these two races for an enhancement Shaman. I’m just returning to the game so I don’t have a guild or any loyalty to either faction, mostly just going for looks, vibe, lore, and transmog aesthetics.

It’s tough because they both seem like great fits…for Mag’har because they were never cut off from the elements like normal orcs, and a lot of the transmogs look good on them. Dark Iron Dwarf because they are literally made of (I guess?) lava and earth which makes sense for a shaman, and some of the transmogs also look good on them.

Which would you recommend?

Dark Iron.

The ability to burn away debuffs and convert them into a big buff is something to be seriously considered. That’s why I like dwarves in general.

elementals called upon by maghar are inherently more durable than other races (10% hp bonus) they also have no reliance on the metallic nature of dark iron. Faster mount speed could imply a better form of geographical navigation whereas faster indoor speed could simply be a kitty bouncing off the walls.

I think dark iron look odd as anything but elemental as their fiery theme contrasts against many themes you can make to fit the windy or watery themes.

Dark Maghar Iron Orc Dwarf Shaman.

Shaman are more than just lava and earth. Maghar has more room to explore what it means to be a Shaman in the World of Warcraft universe.

I find Orc lore more Shamany (is that even a word) than dwarves. Of course as I say this, I have a dwarf shaman. A third option I like is High Mountain Tauren.

I sturggled with that one myself, I ended up with both but my MaghHar is my main. Changed from regular orc the second MagHar was unlockable.

Dark Iron Dwarves fight for the Alliance. That makes them my choice of the two.

Orc. The OG Shaman.

I race changed twice before switching to this because they didn’t feel right. DID somehow fits shaman perfectly. It feels faster running around on a smaller character. I just collected all the old mole machine locations and am about to start on the new ones they just released, so incredibly convenient if you like to chase transmogs and older achievements.
