Dark Iron Dwarf heritage armor question

I have a lvl 67 dwarf rogue. If I purchase the change race service and change him to dark iron dwarf and then lvl to 110 do I still unlock the heritage armor? Or is it only unlocked by leveling all the way from 20-110?

20-110 (is it 120 for the ones in BfA? Don’t know).

Uhh that sucks

You have to level a completely new character from 20 to 110. No Race-Changes, Boosts, nothing.

No, it must be done “on a newly created dark iron dwarf”. No services.

You could continue leveling up your rogue as a regular dwarf to get his heritage armor. Regular dwarves get a cool looking mountain king themed heritage armor. They need to be 120 and exalted with ironforge though.

The Dark Iron heritage armor isn’t really that great, which is why I’m not particularly bothered by it that I can’t have it on my race-changed Dark Iron. I’m considering possibly leveling up another Dark Iron at some point in the likely distant future to get the heritage armor, but, again, not really all that thrilled with it.

On that note, before I waste my time ever doing that, does anyone know if I level a Dark Iron from scratch and get the heritage armor, would I then be able to use the heritage armor on my race changed Dark Iron or would it be exclusive to only the toon I leveled from scratch? I should probably be sure on this before I ever try it.

Yep once you unlock your heritage armor, all similar races get it across your account.

So all your dark irons would get it, including the one that wasn’t started at 20.

You are a gentleman and a scholar and right fuzzy floof ball.

That’s everything I strive for

My fuzzy belly is what keeps me going lol. Good luck on your heritage armor unlocks!

What about heritage armor for main races? I know about being exalted, but what about leveling wise? Do they need to be leveled from the ground up or are boosts fine for them?

As far as I know, it shouldn’t matter for the main (non-allied) races. I am almost positive my (now) Dwarf Warrior was not originally a Dwarf, but probably a Nelf that I race-changed at some point – she DOES have the Heritage Armor (and it is awesome!)

Liking you cause Dwarf Rogues are awesome.
