Yes I tell him to shut up, but if I re-log , he is back at it again. Every time I switch characters, he is complaining again and I have been through my toons at least once this week, so technically , I should never be hearing him again!

at lease it could not be worse like it was in wrath sometimes we hear look up in the sky
That’s nothing compared to Shadowlands and hearing Jaina yammer for the upteenth time for 5 minutes about the maw etc… Made playing alts tedious

If you talk to him, there’s an option where you can tell him he doesn’t need to keep saying it.
I click on him and tell him to shut up, but it doesn’t last, that is what my post is about?

To be clear, are you exiting out of WoW via Log Out, and then exiting out of the log in screen?
Just closing WoW from task manager or alt-F4 can cause stuff not to save.

Meridyth had a good suggestion about logging out.
Also, I believe preferences like this are saved in your WTF folder. It’s possible that’s having issues and you may need to delete it and let WoW make a new one. Or it’s an addon… or both…
They should just have him saying all that on repeat in wow.
yes most definitely. everytime someone complains “you talkin to me?” followed by “draw steel boys” and then one shots the player.

Don’t forget that dimwit Thrall/Go’El chosing the worst possible time to be a picky shopper. Going through nearly every equippable weapon in the game until that doofus found an axe.

You’ll have to tell him to shut up for every character (yes, it’s really annoying!). Not sure why he continues to talk after you re-log though.
There’s still the addon Shut Up Danath, if you really need it.
