Dampening or burst meta and why?

i would say damp with smart burst windows. the current meta only appeals to a very few people as the stats show.

i mean if you want cod style gameplay go play cod… and even there at least its skill and not patch notes.

You should just have lots of comps with different win conditions for games to be interesting

Making set up comps safe or defensive comps really aggressive just makes the game bland

This is why jungle players are the gigachads of the universe

I’ll take fast games unless they want to add a +/- to CR based on game length. 15 games in an hour sounds a Hell of a lot better than 6 to me when you’re trying to accomplish something.

I think really it just comes down to some comps should have win conditions at different speeds. I guess I can elaborate on the last post I made

Think hunter melee vs mage melee for example should be like 3 minutes in a really good game, maybe like 5 minutes in a super insane tourney game and if it goes longer it’s from people just playing completely out of their minds and it’s hype. On avg being over on either side in like a minute or 2 would feel fine

Same for hunter melee mirrors or mage melee mirrors (especially rmp and jungle mirrors). Having those games be fast is ideal.

But aggressive comps vs slower paced comps, I think it should basically be aggro comp wants to win in 2-3 mins or they lose/fall apart 1 if it lasts longer both sides are owning and it’s interesting to play that way, but ideally you have an aggressive comp run out of steam and then the defensive team just wants to delay/disrupt their set ups as much as possible

Slower paced comps fighting each other should have longer games

Imo I think this in general is something some xpacs got right pacing wise, Legion/MoP/WoTLK variety was pretty much faling under those categories at least near the end. Gives people the option to play whatever style they like more

I think it’s boring to have extremes existing, just kills game diversity and then every matchup is dull. Nothing should be forced in a specific direction you just want different strengths/weaknesses

Idk exactly how Blizzard wants to get there but I think the goal should be trying to find the ability a balance of multiple playstyles/comp archetypes with their own pacing. Removes the need for anything to be CR based which we’re only getting now because a lot of comps play pretty similarly (super strong defensive and offensive CDs means high end games are trade based where you run into stalemates)

cr based on game duration would be a good idea until rmp uses their combined giga brain napkin math strength to figure out that stalling games with max defensive builds rewards 6.9 extra cr per hour.

Isn’t aegis going away? I mean they said they would see what will happen not offering those trinkets this season.

I think it’s crazy how long some games last with MS up almost the whole game.

No, all the new trinkets introduced during Cosmic are on the Conquest vendor. They just didn’t update A New Deal (Zereth Mortis weekly quest) to award s4 quality versions of the trinkets.

On a related note the quest remains as it was, so if you have collected all 5 then completing it weekly will award you with 3,000 honor for roughly 10-15 minutes of flying around ZM between queues.

Imo I want MoP/WoD pvp back. was a perfect balance of both. If you got a good CC setup stuff died

While I don’t think balance is perfect right now it’s infinitely better than early s3 and s1.

We all been playing enough to react and going back to damp playstyle is not what I’m looking forward to in dragonflight.

Imo the pacing while fast is fun right now.

Nerf some outlier one shots or just remove summer from game and the game would get a lot better.

Thanks for correcting me. I generally don’t look at the conquest vendor until I can get the weapon

I’m cool with different speed comps and even like the idea of that, I just meant I wouldn’t want every game to be 10+ minutes long.

dr on silence is a stupid mechanic
