Dampen Magic with Healing Potions

I tried to Google this first before I posted here but got conflicting answers. I’m curious if Dampen Magic affects Healing Potions? I know it decreases the healing amount from spells from healers, but does it affect healing potions?

If so, would some sort of macro work to dispel Dampen Magic before consuming the healing potion?

Spell damage and healing power does not effect healing potions.
