Damn OK... I would never imagine this day would arrive

Just work in retail for a few years and you’ll get used to it.

RNG like that is part of what makes RPGs though. It’s not common to run into rpgs with that type of RNG. Although they went a bit too far and meme with it on the Infinite stars level.

RPGs from inception has always came down to dice rolls.

God saves, Nat 20’s, missing a saving throw, or any sort of nasty or great things. Even in modern video games we see this sort of thing. People that want RNG to be stripped away don’t want to play an RPG.

That sounds boring as F.

Skill being the only factor? Bad luck should happen at times, thing should not always go your way. Like, he has a mindset of we should always have a control, and if things hit south because of our failures, That is a bland boring world, I want things to happen and I’m like darn that was just bad luck.

are you gonna say why or are you just trying to trigger people?

Like farming, and debate creating. It’s currently a hot topic and the easiest way to grind for likes and threads with high post counts.

I 100% agree. I think RNG is a really important part of the game, especially in an RPG.

But where i agree with Preach is that wow combat so often in BFA came down to who had the most affixes. Like whos Essence procced, and whos % chance for bleed procced, and whos X and Y.

But also:

I agree with that too. When Vision of Perfection procs when i cast my first Hammer it’s so fun (when it procs on last mob tho like…). I think randomness is important too because it makes it spicy.

I think Preach took it too far with suggesting that we should all be prebuilt clones, but i think the sentiment is that the balance of power in wow has been tilted so far in favour of Randomness that it doesn’t feel (at times) like you have that much influence on the outcome. I think that’s pretty fair.

Ah yea. I have from the start been on the side of covenants, and I would be fine with not being able to switch at all tbh. I’ll be picking based on aesthetics for all my chars including my main. I’m a H raider btw. The abilities that you get are considered cool perks for the choice you made! Really looking forward to it.

Refreshing to see a raider at any level to agree with this.

I never cry about stuff i just change games or keep playing instead but i love covens for sure hands down all about them.

To be fair i’ve seen Mythic raiders and Ultra casual players on both side who are for and against covenant swapping. Some of them even for the exact same reasons at the top and bottom end of the scale. It’s a very divisive addition.

Reminds me a bit of the no flight thing tbh.

Yah on a way larger scale though lol. This seems like almost 50/50 at times.

I’m against Covenant swapping, but I think we’ll probably end up needing ability swapping or something similar.

It’s all a set up to make Ion look good cause he isn’t the most popular person atm. And people are falling for it? really naive so naive, watch what happens when SL goes live what you get and what they’re saying you will get are always two different things. Surprise surprise been suckered in yet again. Fool me one fool me twice three times game over. And yes you have to take it at face value since they’re saying it, but it means nothing atm. Game is set in concrete you think they’re going to change things?

I’d honestly be totally for covenants being completely locked if the class ability was swappable. There are some cool abilities available and playing with them at cap is so much different then leveling.

My main concern is people on the higher tier level will be so spiteful when this goes threw. Blaming mostly the casual player base that they will try to be punitive, in a way sort of throwing a tantrum. I can’t have fun, so i’ll try to wreck yours. Sort of thing.

Watching Asmongold on this interview… The guy was either a good actor or had some genuinly strong feelings. The dude raged so hard I thought he was going to break something.

can’t link it due to strong language, but if you find the video its at around 31:40

He got triggered because they was told to go play overwatch basicly.

Its still nice to read all the feedback.
Not the hateful ones, those I just make fun of it.
But you are correct… It IS a very divisive addition.

I think there’s a fear too that if Blizzard makes it more open you could have people on the other side doing the same.

I think he’s both tbh lol. His stream can be pretty toxic imo but his personal youtube stuff is far more reasoned.

I think it’s easy to see why people get so heated. Blizzard are adding potentially the most impactful actual RPG decision into wow we’ve had in a long time (if ever after character select?). But the game is so different and people have playd for so long that there’s deep running emotions on both sides.

And it’s 2020 so nothing can be good guys there’s always a catch probably killer bees or something

I like a lot of what Ghostcrawler has done in the past. MoP was my favorite expansion.

That being said, I do not agree with Hybrid Tax, and he just won’t budge on that concept.

Nah, they just seem to think that is why we are against changing it. They have said multiple times they think we are just trying to punish them. Been a few threads about that. While yes, for some of us the anger does make it hard to change our views on it. That isn’t the main reason for agreeing. But that isn’t out of spite really, that is just human nature. The group of players this is mostly for has been spat on by the higher tier players for a long time, often trying to get their fun removed. So when something similar happens to the higher tier that which benefits more casual play. It’s really hard to have sympathy. It’s not spite, just something that is wanted and the other side done nothing to garner any sort of sympathy.
