I understand the point of bubble, since Paladin is immune to anything during it, but karma is like one of the worst defensive cds right now.
Its more like an absorb shield and I guess you still want to deal damage, when you used one of your barriers, do you?
It would also mean rogues shouldn’t be allowed to do damage while cloak of shadows or evasion is running. Mage no damage during alter time and so on.
Do you really want that?

Karma is just there to let you know that the Monk is feeling anxious.

8 second duration, 5 minute CD, and as a mage you have more than enough options to deal with it You even think before you post? Try getting on a Ret Paladin and see how many defensive options you have. I’ll help you though, it’s 2, one of them is bubble, maybe 3 vs hard physical comps, but then you are trading half your mobility for a 1 minute CD.

you’re wrong all up and down this post but maybe the single dumbest thing here is pretending steed is half your mobility. 8 second unpurgeable freedom with a speed buff is all the mobility anybody could ever need. ret is harder to shuck by kiting alone than warrior or dk lol

K buddy, where’s your Ret Paladin? Obviously you’ve never been almost perma slowed by a Warlock, sure freedom helps but it is absolutely awful outside of the 8 seconds of freedom every half minute.

I can confirm this as a mage. I have a much easier time controlling a DK or Warrior then I do a ret with steed, unpurgeable freedom and hand of hinderance especially in a 1v1 setting.
I can kite arms/dks near indef. Ret is one of the highest uptime classes these days.
They sure do like to bray muh mobilityz tho to anyone willing to listen

i agree with bubble, but not so much karma. karma is garbage lol
but ya bop should stop melee attacks and divine shield should reduce dmg by 50% again. stupid that it doesnt.
like not even magescan do stuff while blocked. shadow cant do anything in disperse and it’s not even an immunity rofl.

You are wrong ret is probably the most mobile it has been since WoD. While it is ironic mage player complaining about our class ret is extremely hard to lose uptime on than the other two classes that are plate.

I’d give a lot if karma would matter again.
the funniest part is that the whole reason why karma is so bad rn is because of the overtuned 8.0 version of karma at the start of BFA in raids.
So blizzard decided to nerf karma damage by 30% flat and its shield by 50% without even thinking about PvP at all.
This is one fix ill probably never forget because it ruined a spell I used to really like back in the days

Although id not like to back a mage i will say ret pally defensives are better than ur letting on. Eye for an eye. Shield of vengeance. Bop…bubble…sancing ur healer. Judgement of pure on ur healer. Huge wog heals. Steed kiting. Cant ret also cleanse poisons or something (not sure the name of ability). I play cupid alot and my rets survive a long while if played right. As they should. I dont want to see ret nerfed since i like partnering with them. But honestly its a bit busted that i cant do damage during turtle but a ret can do full damage in bubble. Lets be honest here
And im a hunter no room to complain at any other class for the record. Hunters jas its place in the top tiers of hellia
