Damage scaling in leveling dungeons is seemingly broken

As of today’s pre-patch, damage scaling for 10-60 dungeons is really messed up. Regular elite mobs in dungeons are 2-shotting non-tank players, certain bosses are way more difficult, almost punishingly so.

On the flip side of things, low level players (especially level 10-15) are dealing nearly 3 times as much damage as level 30+ players, making them practically obsolete in terms of damage output. I had a level 10 Monk tanking a dungeon earlier that nearly soloed the entire dungeon himself due to the damage he was doing with Spinning Crane Kick alone, the other 4 of us did barely any damage comparatively, and were basically useless.

I also had a similar experience today leveling my 50 mw monk through classic chromie dungeons. A level 10 brewmaster solod a dungeon with spinning crane kick in under 3 minutes and then I got into a dungeon with a level 10 blood dk who I couldn’t heal. He said my heals were hitting him for 1 hp in most instances. He had to die repeatedly to finish the dungeon. What is going on?

I had the same exact experience about three times today. Twice with a monk tank and once with a mage all level 10. Literally ran in the door and they were moving so fast I couldn’t physically keep up with them by the time I got even halfway through the dungeon they were at the end boss and killed it and they one shot every single thing they touched. 50, 60, 100k DPS. Absolutely crazy. I can’t even comprehend how they were physically able to even move their character that fast through the freaking dungeon…

The only thing I see worthy of balance is damage and healing output by players.

Elite mobs wrecking non tank players should have never been removed to begin with. This functionality deserves commendation and praise.

If the group working as a team is getting one shot, that’s a bug, not a feature. The idea that level 10’s without any utility will benefit from horrible experiences in dungeons and git gud really fast is utterly clueless. There is little to do at max level besides instances, and you want to turn off low levels from ever running them by making them undoable.

They are still under the impression that low levels who die horribly and get one shot repeatedly will git gud fast. Players who have never run a dungeon before will spend hours in those dungeons watching videos and creating strategies.

Actually, no they won’t.

Playing my low level dungeon twinks some higher level healers said my level 10’s were hard to heal. Disc priest was very problematic, as when they healed a low level with shadow mend, the size of the damage ticks was based on the healer’s health and not on the player who was being healed. I had health of 700, and each tick was hitting me for 3000 damage. I don’t know if they fixed that, but shadow mend is gone now.
