Damage Recount

Will there be a way to enable this without addons being available?

Why is damage recount needed? Because it is the only thing that resembles a scoreboard while doing a dungeon or raid. It needs to be implemented in the game if addons are getting removed.

Sounds like a great reason to never allow you to have it.

Well, we’ve all seen how games do without a scoreboard. Those games didn’t last long.

It is implemented lol. And the one TW I ran before maintenance it was working just fine. You just have to toggle it on in your options menu.

New one works, and addons like Details essentially function as a reskin of the meter. However functionality is significantly reduced, with extremely basic features such as seeing what targets you dealt damage to being unavailable. Essentially have to always run combat logs and upload them to WCL if you want a meaningful view of that information.

Oh sick, ty. I guess should look at patch notes more, after returning to a game in 2 years.

I also don’t like that the new damage meter is stuck in the upper left corner of the screen. Yes, you can create a copy of it and move it wherever you like but then, why can’t you remove the original copy? This also kind of forces you to use the “Modern” rather than the “Classic” screen layout as the damage meter overlays your Player Frame and you can’t see your health bar.

Ok, my bad. If you hit “escape” and go to Edit Mode, you can move the damage meter wherever you want to and keep the “Classic” screen mode.

Like 95% of players use Recount/Skada/Details to see their DPS and see how big their bar is compared to the other people in the group and that is all. They’re judging raw numbers performance.

And that’s fine. Nothing wrong with that.

Just saying I think you overestimate how many actual players (not necessarily forum posters) are going to care that they can only see damage, healing, damage taken, and interrupts.

They’re only looking at damage anyway.
