I feel like I’m doing something wrong as a UHDK. Every time I do a M+, I can hit damage numbers up to 120k but then on some pulls I’ll do as little as 30-40k. I’m pretty sure I’m using the same abilities at the same times. Anyone else having this problem?
Yeah its called cooldowns, most of our power is baked into them. You gotta line them up and use them correctly.
Festering Scythe debuff is very important
Needs to be maintained on as many targets as possible. Spread AOE can suck because of this.
Depending on your spec, it is because of Cooldowns. We are very feast or famine around them right now.
Are you rider or san’layns? Rider imo is even more drastic on the feast/famine scale. It can do scary numbers for about 15 seconds out of every 90, but the remaining 75 feel pretty dreadful.
Sanlayn’s on the other hand, is more built around 45 second cd. Sure, your dmg is still higher with Army up, but it isn’t as drastic as rider.
If you haven’t try Sanlayns, it imo is just a much more dependable spec. It still has some of the feast or famine to it, but you are more consistent pull to pull and the sims all are showing it higher atm anyways.
Like others have said, it’s just our cooldowns. Almost all of our damage comes during army. Unholy is also special because it’s uncapped AOE, so the bigger the pulls, the more you feast. So if you’re not doing bigger pulls then other classes that cap at 5-8 targets are just simply going to do more damage than you
Last week was also bad for udk in lower keys since we didn’t have fortified. Everything dies too quickly for us to get rolling.
