Been looking loosely for a damage build for prot. Can anyone point me in the right direction
AOE or single target? My build right now can lay down some insane numbers in big AOE pulls. Also check wowhead. They have multiple builds that you can copy the link!

you want single target or aoe, i got both, sadly they are now pve only since prot is dead in pvp. But im still the top 1 world prot on dmg meters ! Reply to this for whichever you want.

this is the talent calculator build for pve top dmg prot paladin on single target.
Prioritize AS => judgement => HoW => blessed hammer
always keep 3 stacks of aspiration of divinity, and 3 stacks of redoubt, keep up both blessing of dawn and dusk all the time also. you want to use wings off cd all the time. you get 50% uptime with them. Press divine toll when you have 0 holy power. and when you use moment of glory for max dmg, you also need to keep consecration under you at all times.
The important part is to keep using SoR over WoG for wall, dmg off gcd, and keeping them redoubt stacks up, its easier to heal with wog when your only under 40% hps.

DF actually made it very simple and linear to make a dmg build for prot.
It involves respecing into retribution
I am curious about your AOE build. I play solo and like to pull lots of mobs just don’t like how long it takes to kill them all. lol

Just because some players don’t use Prot in PVP does not mean it is dead LOL. I love the generalizations people make based off the opinions of the minority.
For Prot Pally to be super DPS, you will focus on buffing your shield attacks, hammer attacks and aoe abilities in your trees. You eventually end up looking like a combo between Thor and Captain America and its ridiculously fun. You only use your melee weapon for auto-attacks. Everything else is shield, hammer or straight up holy power.
Hammer of Wrath, Shield of Righteousness, Consecration, Avengers shield attack, the light/blind attack, Divine Toll, and a few others to round things out.
You don’t have melee attacks like with Ret and only 1-2 holy power attacks like Holy, but the rest is shield and hammer ftw. Every attack is AOE or single target with talents allowing it to bounce off and hit other enemies.
Its called respeccing to ret
