I lost it.
I got that from the table but when the mission was over I wasn’t able to open the gift. It doesn’t say anything about requiring level 60. It just won’t open.
Ya , its pretty non intuitive, i got canned response, but i resubmitted, this needs n answer and fixed.

I put in a bug report for this a couple days back in case it was unintended and also a help ticket. The ticket received an automated reply and I had to resubmit it to say it’s still an issue.

No, it actually won’t. Rallying people to submit tickets will only clog up the system and increase ticket times for more pressing issues.
If you believe this to be a bug, post in bug report, and/or submit a bug via the in-game suggestion tool. That’s the extent of player involvement, here.
It’s not something that would be handled via ticket anyway; responses are going to be templates directing you to bug report, or offering “we are working on it,” answers.
They clearly know about it. It had a WoWHead article, for pete’s sake, which you even linked. It’s not like some obscure, hidden bug you found. It’s nearly silly to think they’re ignorant of the situation. Five dozen tickets about it aren’t going to amount to anything at all - they’re just going to make more busy work for some CS rep who could be helping other people who, perhaps, can’t log in or have a stuck character.
If they want it to be this way, it will not change. If they want it to be different, it will change. You and I and everyone else gets to wait and see.

Also i said I ‘hoped’ it was bug, and i posted it in case people were not aware of it and draw more attention to this issue.
Fair enough, I changed the word to ‘pressing’. I believe this issue to be valid, but not pressing, certainly not as pressing as many other issues such as the examples I mentioned.
Right on, I never disagreed with that.
I stand by the ticket thing, though. Don’t uselessly clog up their system and encourage others to do so as well. There’s no need for it at all.

well it is kind of pressing, given the time element honestly, but I see what you are saying, just would be nice to hear an official word about this, thats all.
Well, we will hear, in a maximum of five days.
My guess is that a hotfix will go in to revert the change, because there’s no precedent for the max-level-only gift thing.
Or, perhaps they’ll change it during Tuesday’s maintenance.
Either way, if Friday comes and it’s still max-level-only, then it’s an intended change. There’s no way they are unaware of it.
almost a week, two hotfixes later and we still can’t get the good package on level 50’s.
It has to be intentional at this point. It’s a shame they changed it to max-only after 10+ years.

Blizzard will restrict love rocket to only come from the level 60 box.

i think we have our answer, they hotfixed the ship mission and it gives the green gift, sad no word on why at all, and a bad change.

I even got the green present on my level 60 character on the mission table. 
I ended up getting a second character to 60 yesterday so that I could do one more daily quest per day. Sadly the two characters that I have at 60 to do the quest have gotten a few with just junk in them.

People should be on high alert for the next holiday because it wouldn’t surprise me if they try to tighten their grip on the big love rocket even more.
