Dagran Thaurissan II

Do you think Dagran Thaurissan II will ever know. That we killed his father?

He already knows but he’s such a passive, beta that he still likes us.

Yea, he knows how his dad was working with ragnaros and basically threatened to kill everyone else

Not really a mystery

The void will consume him and all his buried hatred for what fate his father was given by us and grampa will emerge and Dagran Thaurissan II will try to kill us.

I hate that character. Voice and personality grates on me.

In stonecore i wish he’d shut it

He already does, however, he’s mature enough to know that ultimately that was a good thing.

Hell even Moira points it out now she’s had some time to reflect on it: even though she loved Dagran Thaurissan I deeply, she knows that the state of all three dwarf kingdoms is in a SIGNIFICANTLY better place than if he was still alive, because he would 100% have gone to war and never accepted peace, and that her deepest regret is that by the very nature of it requiring his death, he could never see it.

(Blessed to have Peter Hannah voicing the lil nerd boy after his huge dubs in BG3. )

As for his dad, I think he’s very aware of it. Dagran lives in his books.

Telling you now - the kid’s gonna glow up ULTRA. When the time come for him to take the throne as per his birthright he is going to absolutely shine.

I like him but my biggest fear is that they’ll give him so much screen time on cinematics that’ll he will end up unbearable, like a few others.

I whisper him every day.

Dagran is more like the typical WoW player than any NPC in the game, ever.

He does, but he also never met his father in the first place.

His knowledge of his father is as a tyrant who threatened the world and a surprisingly good husband despite the active threat he posed to everyone other than Moira.

I’m sure he feels bad for his mother losing the man she loved and for his own lack of a father figure. But too much of what’s good about the world he lives in comes from his father’s death for him to resent the people who killed him.

Too late imo. Hes just some nepo baby who is son of the queen so is in places he shouldnt be with the lack of experience he has.

Frankly i dislike the whole merger of horde alliance msq. Im horde not some dwarf lackey so im a bit biased

Who cares if he finds out? What’s he going to do? Do my homework for me? He’s about as scary as a box of kittens.

He already knows. So it’s moot.

The BRD raid is right there lol.

And it’s Timewalking- both Moira and Dagran 2 basically saw us dispatch his pa firsthand.

Rather, they looked back in time and saw us do it.

And he knows his dad is evil. Or, was.

I didn’t mind it so much thinking it was just him

But then Thaurissan’s (the BRD boss) revamped voice lines in the Timewalking raid make him sound like a passive nerd too instead of a grizzled, fire-hardened mountain deeps dwarf fighting as hard as he can to free his people from the grip of Ragnaros, and now I just think “oh, this is just dwarves now I guess…”

It fits Dagran, he’s a nerd and still a kid. It doesn’t fit dwarves in general, especially not Dark Irons

Sorry bro.
Alliance did.

I hope he burns Stormwind.

I thought Dagran I was plotting to try and free the Dark Irons from Ragnaros?

With that in mind, I would think Dagran II and Moira would see this all as a huge tragedy and secretly resent us and Magni for being rash. Probably not revenge murder levels, but estrangement / distancing from us and Magni levels.

Hes got a helicopter parent. Just lame blizz went that route

We can only hope. Maybe that’s the event that finally gets him to sprout a beard.
