Daggers for DHs and warglaives for rogues

Making weapons only for one class/spec is bad for small guilds and makes it harder for the devs designing raid loot tables.

Lore worse, rogues were able to wield the most famous warglaives in existence.

Also feral druid should be able to dw daggers.

Prior to 8.0 in an early stealth hotfix right before Uldir raid launch, DH were able to equip daggers. It as been removed to them because the Demon’s Blade talent would have been too powerful with daggers.

What was laughable was the Class section of the Official Website still saying they can wield it until 8.2, when it got updated.

One of the worst Stealth nerf happening in recent years in my opinion.

makes sense since demon blade talent for fury generation through auto attack and dagger attack speed rate being quite high.

Yes, it made sens balance wise, but i remember fondly that day when i became weaponless, 3-4 days before the raid without any official post from Blizz to explain it XD

Worse, since they can’t equip it anymore, you can’t farm dagger appearances in old content anymore, while Warrior still can equip every kind of weapon, even if gameplay wise they cant.

Its the biggest joke that rogues cannot mog glaives of azzinoth. I refuse to play my rogue in protest until the asinine decision is changed.

If anything, warriors should be able to use warglaives. They’re friggin warriors, they should be able to use anything as a weapon (and can except warglaives and wands)

While they could use them in TBC as well, they generally went to rogues and they’re absolutely an iconic set of rogue weapons.

Warriors should be allowed to use Warglaives

made for Demon Hunters cause they were literally from Illidan himself

Problem solved:

looks like a dagger but as a 1 handed weapon

transmog it

i want my warglaives plz.

ye i agree and the artifact weapon is two daggers

The Warglaives of Azzinoth were not “made for Demon Hunters”. They were taken from the demon Azzinoth by Illidan, just like we’re able to take them off Illidan’s corpse, or take any weapon from any monster or boss that we defeat.

Aside from an arbitrary decision Blizzard made in a patch several expansions into WoW’s lifecycle, there’s no actual precedent or lore claiming Warglaives are some DH exclusive weapon. DH’s even in the current game can obviously also use other weapons so aren’t limited to just Warglaives, and Warglaives are clearly present as cultural weapons used by many non-Demon Hunters of various races, such as Night Elf Sentinels and Huntresses, Shadow Hunters, etc. We literally had an entire questline in-game centred around Vol’jin’s.

Right just like thunderaan pulled thunderfury out of his butt for demon hunters… crap excuse. They could have given DHs updated model glaives.

If any weapon was a Rogue weapon these 2 are.

Illidan used Glaives because he was a night elf. That’s their thing, and they can’t even use them. Glaives are to elves as totems are to tauren.

Restore the balance and let night elves use glaives.

Lore wise, many elven warriors used glaives as their ancestral weapons. So it’s kind of silly that only Demon Hunters can use them now, since the weapons predate their existence or concept even.

I mean like – What, they get accursed or something? :joy:

I’ve seen blood elf concept art of them wielding a glaive, too. I’m pretty sure the warriors (mana breakers) had them in wc3.

If any classes other than DH should be able to use warglaives, it should be rogues and warriors. Hell, warrior should be able to use any weapon except wands, we should even be able to use gnomes as weapons! Ya know, just grab them by an ankle and swing them like club.

Semper Fi! :us: :ukraine:

What you really need to do is roll warrior an ask for Glaives :+1:
