Dagger rogue weapon enchants

I currently raid on my rogue with Perdition’s Blade main hand and Dragonfang Blade off hand, both have crusader on them. I’ve seen that +5 weapon damage on main hand & +15 agility on off hand are the best enchants when looking online. I wanted to know if I switched enchants to +5 weapon damage and +15 agility, would I see an increase in my dps?

Can’t tell you for sure, but the +5 weapon damage on main hand will effect your backstab/ambush multipliers so there’s that.

I always used 2x 15 AGI as a rogue, and now use crusader as a warrior.
Warrior: 2 AP per 1 STR. 0 AP per 1 AGI.
Rogue: 1 AP per 1 STR. 1 AP per 1 AGI.
The choice is clear for me.

The “best” is crusader MH and 15agi OH. But the difference between the 3 main enchants really arnt huge for your MH and the difference between crusader/agi for you OH isn’t huge either.

Yes, it will benefit you a decent amount. As mentioned above, weapon dmg is the multiplier for your backstab. Backstab is the only CP generator you should ever use, thus you are increasing your overall raid damage a good deal.

The +15 agi, coupled with the additional +agi/str enchants available, is fundamentally providing an additional main peice of gear worth of agi.

On top of this, you won’t be replacing either of these daggers anytime soon, so it is worthwhile to get them.

From, a rogue with Perdi + CHT w/ +5wd/+15 agi who’s seen the benefit.

If you align crusader with your other CDs, it performs really well. The +5 wd being passive is always improving your overall dmg.

Crusader is on a PPM. Thus a dagger rogue doesnt proc it more. The +5 flat damage benefits a dagger rogue because you attack a larger portion of the time from attack speed. Further, backstab scales with weapon damage - 150% of weapon damage equates to a constant 7.5 extra backstab damage.

Rapid attack speed weapons and high scaling attacks cause +5 wd on MH to pull somewhat ahead of crusader for a dagger rogue.

But it’s close enough as to which if you have crusader already, switching isn’t really worth it.

I personally use +5 dmg MH and Crusader OH for PvP, and only sim like 1.5dps higher with agi on offhand and just decided to keep Crusader. However it “feels” like backstab scales very well with AP and hits so much harder when it procs…but that is 100% subjective.

When I said “best” I should have qualified that as “best simmed on my character”

So you’re saying switching my main hand to +5 weapon damage might not be worth it but switching my off hand to +15 agi is worth doing? Great info by the way much appreciated

You can look at the data - but generally speaking as a dagger rogue in PvP you will not be in sustained fights very often. Your goal is to deal quick burst damage and get out to reset, rinse, repeat.

That being said, Crusader is not going to benefit you on your first few attacks - and even if it does proc, it will probably fall off by the time you drop combat and re-engage. +5 dmg on your main hand will ALWAYS benefit you no matter what situation you are in. When the damage range on daggers is so limited (currently 73-137 on Perdition’s Blade is the highest) that +5 goes a long way.

This is why the choice is usually +5 weapon damage on MH.

Chance on hit enchants (crusader) rarely proc on your offhand and the +5 weapon damage does not benefit you nearly as much since your offhand damage is reduced by 50% without Dual Wield Specialization. In addition, your Backstab and Ambush damage is based on your main hand, not your offhand. The passive AP and crit from +15 agility is more effective for your offhand, which is often not a dagger.

Some rogues just run +15 agility on both too. Hope this helps.

If you already have crusader, sim the change to see if the possible increase is worth the cost in your case.

I would swap +5 wd and leave crusader OH personally in your case, but that’s without any additional metrics.

Also, see my post below for my explanation my crusader isn’t necessarily optimal in raids for OH - with your daggers getting the top enchants is pretty worth while since they wont be replaced for a long time.

For pvp it may make sense to keep the crusader tbh. The constant agi is nice, but when you get your crusader to pop and can blow cds it is so much fun.

I’m speaking from a pure raid perspective, where it is highly possible crusader will do nothing at all during a boss fight and result in a loss of a possible extra 15 agi. I personally like to aim for controlling as many variables as possible when raiding, this why I like the +5wd/+15agi.

For pvp I like crusader since you have much more control of when to stack cds.
