Dagger Rogue Enchant Question

I have Perd’s Blade MH and CHT OH. Currently have +5 dmg on MH and Crusader on OH. I’ve been reading that 15 agi is better than crusader for OH. Is it worth changing? I am spec’d combat right now, but thinking of changing to seal fate sometime. I have around 30% unbuffed crit. Thanks!

seal fate isn’t more dps than combat, but you should just do whats fun unless your guild is too hardcore to allow you to go seal fate daggers

Your offhand will miss quite frequently, preventing it from procing enchants as often. A flat stat can often be better in that case.

I would never be specced combat with 30% unbuffed crit unless you’re just living in raids and PvE encounters. SF would be insane in PvP and still a very viable PvE build.

I have crusader OH enchant, I’m not sure how effective it really is. I think there is money better spent than that.

If you are strictly PVE then stay with Combat Daggers. As for enchants, it really depends, but +5 Weapon Dmg MH and 15 Agility OH is the best for PVP. Double Crusader or +5 Weapon Dmg MH and 15 Agility/Crusader OH are both viable. Overall though, the static enchants will probably add slightly more DPS in the long run.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I haven’t pvp’d much to this point, but I definitely will. My guild is very laid back and encourage us to play whatever is fun, so that isn’t a worry.

There is something cool about the crusader proc, but 15 agi is a sure thing, don’t have to rely on a proc. I am leaning towards changing. As far as seal fate goes, I might mess around with it as well. Thanks again

15 agi is better unless you’re crit capped, and even then it’s not much worse than Crusader and you’ll gain a lot of hit in bwl gear.

Seal fate is a meme spec and is never better than combat.

Crusader is +17 str in the dps calculator. +15 Agi is better, yes.

200 ap when it procs tho!

Only 100 for rogues. Rogues only get 1 ap per str.

I have 2 weapons.

I played seal fate last night in MC… talk about RNG …

Remember you need to be close to or better then 30% crit without dagger spec (5% crit) and this doesnt include buffs/pots. With a 28.9% crit baseline , buffed I was 30 something %… it felt bad…

When the stars aligned , It did feel good to be burning thru combo points…

I would stay combat for progression… seal fate if you are bored…but do not expect it to outperform combat daggers

I have tried my damnedest to make seal-fate work better than combat. With mongoose I would have 30% crit and 11% hit as seal-fate, but that is not enough yet. Fully raid buffed with out feral-druid in our group, i could get to 35+% crit. up to 40% with ony buff.

However with the Ony buff, seal-fate does outperform combat. The problem is if you lose the Ony buff at any point, there goes your deeps.

It’s addictive like slot machines

15 agi is technically better on the Offand, but it’s such a small difference that I wouldn’t re-enchant your Offhand until you get a new Offhand. Not worth the gold to switch for such a small optimization.

Does the % crit that is shown on the default attack include talents? I’ll probably stay combat for now, but my real question is mainly the offhand enchant. Corehound Tooth is the best dagger offhand until AQ40, right?

You do, but I bet if you check your parses, the frequency of overlapping procs is likely quite low. Though, I’m not even sure if the parse would detect having double crusader properly.

Anyway, at 1 ppm, and your offhand having a generous miss rate with no way to increase procs like your MH, it’s probably pretty underwhelming.

it is, i ditched crusader the moment +15 is out

Ye and yes

I get double procs all the time… i dont need parses to see that as I can see it in my buffs.
