Just looking to see how everyone else’s luck is here. When is the last time you saw an actual dagger upgrade drop for you?
I’m not talking about emissary rewards either. An actual dagger drop from a weekly chest, m+ end of dungeon chest, or a raid boss.
I’ll start. I haven’t had an upgrade drop for me since October off of Heroic Mother. Blizzard plz!
I had finally gotten my 2 370 daggers. Then I realized my loot spec was set to outlaw and got 2 400 fist weapons. I now feel like I have to start fisting my enemies or else I am being ungrateful for actual weapon drops…
All I can suggest here is to double check your loot specialization before completing any weapon cache rewards, or go after dungeon bosses for daggers. Other than that, it’s all rng. I can say that I do have 2x 370 daggers from the last few weeks of random rewards.
Yeah I always make sure I have the right loot spec. I’m assassination T-W-T for raid and this season I’m outlaw for m+. I run with asn loot spec while in m+ unless there’s no dagger drop then I run outlaw loot spec. It’s gotten to the point where it’s become ridiculous. Not a single dagger upgrade drop since October. Meanwhile every other geared rogue on my server has 2-3 drops for both main spec and off spec.

Ya, I selected loot for current spec and maybe 20% were dagger. 80% axes yet I’m assassin. Nice.
I’ve been fortunate. I have several 385’s. One even has a gem socket.
I’ve gotten several through M+ still cant get the one from KR though, also I got this stabby thing with a socket so I need 2 from KR D:
I got 2 new daggers recently. From raid last night and Tol Dagor end of dungeon a couple days ago.
Got my main hand 385 from emissary a couple weeks ago. Got my off hand 385 from this weeks PvP chest.
I have three 385 daggers, I have received 2 off raid bosses and one from an emissary chest, all within last couple weeks. Lucky I guess!
Had a 345 dagger up until roughly 2 weeks ago.
Finally got a 405 dagger from mythic 10 freehold. My other one is 390 from a quest though. I farmed mythics last week for the weekly quest and got 4 dagger drops. All not upgrades, but I was a little irritated because I can’t get a drop in any mythic + (since this last one) in a combination of 15 or so mythic+… trinkets as well.
As an assassination rogue I find daggers hard to come by and are always way behind the rest of my gear when it comes to upgrading - to the point where DPS starts to diminish. Daggers are hard to come by and to top it off you need 2.
So, I’ve been trying to get daggers to try assassination for… weeks. Never seen them drop. Ever.
Just did an 11 Freehold this morning, and got a 400 Jolly’s Boot Dagger. Then did a 10 Freehold right after and got a 400 Jolly’s Boot Dagger.
Same thing happened to me with Harlan’s Dice. Weeks with nothing. Did a 9 Freehold, got 400 Dice. Key turned into an 11 Freehold, did that right after and got 405 Dice.

The second one is essentially a stat stick, but yeah, daggers are crazy hard to get.
Just gotta focus farm whatever dungeon you know has the dagger you want. Repetition and some luck my friends. Happy hunting.
