Daggars for Elemental

A question I’ve been meaning to ask and I was just reminded of was “What’s going on with the daggers?”

IIRC:

  • We can’t mog them as we can with fists, maces, and axes
  • They aren’t listed as an option on our weapons list
  • There’s some other problem - maybe we can’t embue them? I don’t recall
  • But they do show up for us in the Great Vault

Why isn’t this a formal weapon on our list?

That list is mostly thematic, no? So I don’t think it matters whether or not it’s there.

Similarly, elemental/resto can use off-hand int items, despite them not being on that “list” nor them being in our loot table.
