Is the cap supposed to be 652 ilvl this week for the ring? Or are possible drops from rares/chest make it higher this week?
Ive seen people get drops this week to have a higher ilvl =S maybe something is not working right.
It was supposed to take 6 weeks from launch to cap the ring, at 658. We got our first upgrade the same week it launched, so from 642 > 658 is 16 item levels, divided by 5 additional weeks, basically 3 item levels per week (although last week it went from 645 to 649).
I have also heard of players getting more than 1 raw citrine in a given week, but if you’ve only had 1 upgrade per week thus far, you should be at 652 today.
I had two quests last week that bumped me up and then got one quest this week and a chest drop. So I am at 658. Thats cap?
I’ve seen people cap at 658 this week, when its supposed to cap out in 2 weeks from now via weekly quests. Wowhead states, “[Raw Singing Citrine] may also drop from chests and rares on the isle—possibly as a catch-up system for alts.” but it doesn’t state whether or not these drops can happen after capping out for the week via the weekly quest.
Yep, some people got 2 quests in the same week to increase the item level of the ring. Weirdly, lots of streamers got it. Coincidence?
I got 2 on my monk last week. One from an event and another from a chest, so they’re 655 atm. Haven’t done anything on the isle since this last reset.
I think there is a “bug” (or at least was) where if you race swapped then you could get more ring upgrades than intended.
Some people used this to get more ring ilvl, some people just race swapped, and then of course just overall bugginess and some people getting more than intended.
If you are at 652 then I believe you are on the intended pace.
