Cyrce's Circlet for alts: WTH?

So I hopped on my main, did the purple triangle question mark in Siren’s Isle and updated my ring.

Hopped on my first alt: He had the same quest from Angorla but his quest was a standard yellow ! . So he took it, did the quest, got the ring upgrade.

The next 2x alts of mine went to upgrade the ring: One of them completely upgraded except this week and the other didnt do this week OR last week’s quest.

For these 2x alts, there is no quest option. Angorla isnt even a vendor like she is for my main or the first alt that got the yellow ! from her. These 2x alts just have the white bubble I can click to stay awhile and listen.

So what gives? Why would ONE alt get a yellow ! but then the next 2x alts, one thats further behind on the ring, have nothing?

I absolutely hate the inconsistency with things like this. How do you play “catch up” with the rings? Randomly kill crap? Was the one alt getting the yellow ! a fluke? If not, why dont the rest get the same ! request?

EDITS:

  1. My “main” character does every quest, every week. They are 100% as far as you can go with every quest in Siren’s Isle.
  2. There is ZERO consistency with alts: Some alts get quests for ring upgrades, OR some get NOTHING but eventually killing “rares” or one of the 3 bosses that spawn in the caves just randomly drops an upgrade for the ring, OR there is a combo of: killing a rare, opening up a quest (ie. go into the Storm), will then reward the ring upgrade.

NONE of my alts, NONE, have done the follow up ring quests each week except ONE alt and that alt does not always get the exact same quests as my main.

If you’re confused, you’re not alone. It makes ZERO sense…

What’s weird is last week, one of my alts had the quest, but got the upgrade from a rare.

I don’t understand it either.

Having the exact same issue on an alt currently, last week the quest there, I didn’t finish it on my alt tho, this week, there’s nothing anymore.

You have to fill the weekly activity progress bar and then all the upgrade quests will be available (including previous weeks).

I take a new alt, choose skip and get given the ring with an upgrade.

Yep you automatically get the first ring upgrade on alts. In the second week you didn’t need to complete the weekly activities, you could just do the week 2 quest. In the 3rd week, you needed to complete the weekly activity to unlock the additional upgrade quests.

Alternatively, you can kill the elites in caves and get the upgrades to drop that way but it’s very random.

Will update for week 4 (this week)

I think I’d replied to this before on the other threads but I guess I’ll do it again

  1. You need your MAIN to have done everything
  2. Your ALT needs to do intro quest to get the ring. Skip and it’s done
  3. You then get your MAIN to buy whatever gems you want and mail them to your ALT. They are warbound. I just bought like 5 of each of the Meta ones and just kept them in Warbank.

Done. You just need to do the weekly stuff for the upgrade but there’s a catch up mechanism so you don’t have to do it that religiously on your alts.

people aren’t talking about the gems, they already have that and the ring - it is the weekly upgrade quests that are confusing as all heck because there is no consistency

You can also get them from the chests.
One of my toons got 2 upgrades from them lol.

(ok I’m editing my original post as I have now taken 3 characters through this)

Week 4 Upgrade:

  • Characters don’t need to complete the Weekly Activity to pick up Week 4 upgrade from Angoria.

  • It is a pink triangle for the first character, a yellow exclamation for subsequent.

  • You need to wear your ring and trigger its effects 10 times from mobs on the Isle.

  • 622 BM Hunter: killed stuff so fast I could only trigger the effects from minibosses

  • 616 SPriest: dotted a lot of stuff around the island and killed a lot less actual mobs but completed much faster due to triggering more ring effects before mobs died.

  • 634 Sin Rogue: killed normal mobs too fast but could trigger effects 5 times off a single mini boss, so the fastest of all to complete quest.

My rogue dropped the raw citrine on the first miniboss but completed the quest anyway to be up to date for next week.
