I have been trying to further my cypher console research, but so far (its been a few weeks) my only character that has made any progress towards this system cannot research the Aealic, Dealic, or Trebalim tree’s as it continues to say “This Cypher talent is already being researched by another character on your account”; even though this isn’t true. My Metrial tree has been fully researched.
Skimmed through similar forum posts and couldn’t find a solution.
Sometimes my addons have interfered with the console research. First, I would try to disable them all to see if that helps. If not, you could try a UI reset to rule out any UI issues:

Sorry to hear that! Is it possibly you might have started the process on another character and haven’t logged into them in awhile? If there are any that could have, I would log in and out on any possible character to see if it would trigger a fix on your current character. I do recall there was a bug several months back that caused this for many players even if they weren’t researching on another character, but it had been hotfixed shortly after. You could also try to submit a ticket for assistance. If they send you a generic link as the first response, make sure to reopen the ticket and say you still need help.
I just logged into my max level alts and checked. Only one other character is doing research BUT both characters were researching Metrial (the first tree). I don’t want to play that character anymore and so I didn’t finish the tree I had already completed on my monk. I shouldn’t have to complete the same tree twice in order to progress, right?
I don’t believe you would have to finish your first character’s tree. I think the only conflict is when one character is researching a tree for the first time, it will lock out the others’ progress until completed. The first time you complete it, it has a much longer waiting time. On alts it should be much quicker as long as it’s completed on the first character.
Have you done any type of character services like a faction transfer or boost on the one having trouble? Occasionally those can create some odd issues.

I primarily played classic these last few years and wanted to main something different for Dragonflight, so I boosted this monk and have been playing him exclusively for about a month now
