Did you put the Arathi elemental crests into the pot and make the item you actually need for the quest turn in? I have no idea what you do on alliance side, but if you’re horde that’s a step before you turn in everything to get to the next step where the quest giver actually summons Cyclonian.
Yup, I was pretty sure I wasn’t crazy on this.
Maybe, but doubt it.
I know just recently when I did the Redridge cooking quest I had inadvertently stored some spider meat that was used for it so when I got my first loot post the UI quest splash screen updated me to 3/5.
This could also be addon driven and I am not running any so I am seeing default interactions with the UI.
Skimmed the first few posts didn’t see anyone mention it.
But OP did you talk to the Cauldron first? I’m not 100% sure but fairly confident that you bring the items to the Cauldron and get the item that the original quest giver wants.
Yeah i put the crests in the cauldron for the last item i needed.
I refarmed the crests and tusks today and it works perfectly fine this time around
… and I see you forgot. I still would like to see this, and I’m sure others would too, as you seem to be the only one having the game act like this.
I would.
Be happy to report as a bug if it does appear to actually be happening.
Questie is the one that causes them to see they have a complete quest. I had this happen when I put stuff in my bank as I was doing other quests. I made a mental note of it to grab when I turned it in since I always try to do a few quests, grind the last few bars out and then turn in quests to get a big jump into the next level.
Might be why you’re having a different experience than others.
you solved it i’ve never used questie, meanwhile everyone else acts like questie is built into the WoW engine.
Vanillataur addressed this. He’s not using that addon.
he’s probably using it without realizing it questie addicts
If you look at my screenie once again … you’ll maybe notice the total absence of any and all addons. So no, this is not the explanation.
