Cutting edge and AOTC mounts need to be limited time only

AOTC mounts and mounts dropped from Mythic end bosses need to be truly limited time as oppose to just going down to 1% drop Chance or w/e.

Maybe up the mounts drop to 3 per kill instead of 2.

But once the xpansion is over or even the tier is over the mounts shouldn’t drop at all.

To incentivize players to participate in raiding when it’s current content. Instead of just going back and running it when it’s old content.

Nah. There needs to be less exclusive special snowflake BS in the game as it is, not more for just a tiny percentile who shouldn’t matter.

That’s a terrible idea. The 1% drop chance is more than sufficient. Permanently removing stuff is almost always a bad idea. Cutting Edge raiders can enjoy the mounts while they are out, and it gives content for non-raiders to do as well with farming mounts. If they were going to follow this philosophy, they would also have to remove all archaeology discoveries, such as the Vial of the Sands recipe, as soon as the expansion is over (and by virtue of extension, remove it from everybody who didn’t earn it during Cataclysm). Same with vendor bought mounts, because if you didn’t spend time playing that expansion for that rep, you shouldn’t have access to it.

They just need to be consistent. Mythic bosses can be farmed forever for their mounts, but Arena mounts are limited time only… why?

Be consistent, Blizzard. Pick one method, and stick with it.

I mean yea. They are doing that with the longboi. So why not.

You were doing so well in your last thread. Cmon man…

Because then they’d be removing content that players want. If you want more players in the mythic raiding pool, one of the best ways to do that is ensure that the playerbase as a whole is large and appeased, and more specifically, has something to do after current raids are over, so they don’t unsub and either find something else to play, or just lose interest in the game. Removing stuff from old content, that has already had it’s drop rate nerfed 100x will annoy people, and cause them to stop playing entirely. And this is made even worse by the collections achievements, some of which would not be obtainable if mounts from old content were no longer obtainable.

2 mounts dropping is already pretty big versus 1 dropping before.
While I would like them too to add more value in raiding, I’d probably be happy enough if the mount looks really cool and if there was one each raid.
Because I understand many people are interested in farming/getting them after, it’s actually a big market.

old content for non-mythic raiders that remains relevant for years > mythic raiding trophies.

wouldnt be opposed if the cutting edge achievement gave a limited time mount, as long as were not actively removing big incentives to run legacy raids.

Before we get into mount drops, how about changing up their fight design philosophy? If we want to incentivize more people to mythic raid.

Why do you want people to have less mounts? Literally nobody cares what mount other people are on, just have fun with your mounts and let other people enjoy theirs.

AoTC is by nature already limited since you can only get the achievement, and the associated mount, while in the current raid tier.

Let people have their continued legacy runs, it’s one of the things that keeps them around.

You mean going back to more reactive based mechanics and simpler team coordination mechanics and not precise time based mechanics requiring weak auras and not even possible to execute by average wow player even WITH weak auras?

Example Mythic aszhara.

Sorry but no.

I see what you’re targetting at… so CE guilds can get more money from carries specially mount collectors that want to get them on the 100% chance rather than the 0.5% chance.

These guilds already charge some obscene amount for CE achievement and some try to trick you saying “you get the achievement and “TITLE”” it’s just the same crap you’re only paying for CE or the mount… otherwise the title/achievement minus the CE you can get them some expansions later or the next easily.

Yes. That stuff is incredibly daunting to people lol

Here’s a list I posted on the beta forums of frequent complaints from raiders this expansion. What you mentioned is #3.

  1. The amount of chores required to raid effectively is insane. Not just things like essence farming, AP, etc., but also that the raids are tuned around the assumption that we’re all doing M+ every week. So you have to do M+ every week or you can’t raid effectively. And in Shadowlands we’re getting pushed to do even MORE M+ every week. It’s gonna burn even more people out. CE raiders are already doing 9+ hours a week in the raid, they don’t want to have to play double that just to be able to raid.
  2. Class design was awful in BfA. For many classes/specs, it’s little better in Shadowlands. But the focus is always on the New Marketing Gimmick instead of fixing class design.
  3. Final bosses this expansion were not fun. Ghuun, Azshara, and Nzoth were all spreadsheet bosses where you had to map out what everyone was doing at every second for the whole duration, in tiny detail. Jaina wasn’t so bad in this regard but she did have a long and boring and totally pointless Phase One, which is also something the other 3 end bosses had, too. When you’re 300 pulls in, doing that boring and pointless Phase One for the umpteenth time is a real drag.
  4. Class stacking and immunity stacking continues to be a problem. Ten immunities for Nzoth, tons of passive cleave for Orgozoa, 4 Warlocks for Ghuun, etc. We’re needing larger and larger rosters to accommodate this, but because of the fixed 20 cap for Mythic, we can’t bring everybody on the fights. It sucks that we’re required to have more than 20 people to raid, due to fight design if nothing else, but we’re not allowed to bring the raid on every fight.
  5. Titan/Warforging. 'nuff said.
  6. Lack of skips. Nyalotha is an improvement but everyone would like to see the great skips we had in Blackrock Foundry and Hellfire Citadel again.
  7. Potion recipes were ridiculous in Legion (which doubled the mats required per potion) and again in BfA (which doubled them again). It might be getting better in Shadowlands, too soon to tell, we’ll need to see how the market settles down. But time and gold costs just to be able to pot in BfA were ridiculous before Zin’anthid was a thing.
  8. The raid buff/debuff thing is also annoying. Need a DH and a Monk, and ideally a Warrior, Mage, and Priest - even more so now that the scroll buffs are getting nerfed in Shadowlands. The Wrath system worked much better where you had multiple ways to cover these things. Since we’re already being squeezed into 20 people, these comp restrictions (plus immunity requirements for many fights) are really putting the screws on whom we can bring to raid.

(And for the love of god, can we PLEASE get potions to stack to 200? Thank you.)

Do you know how silly and demand works?

There’s 100s of CE guilds selling nzoth mount everyone single week.

There’s already enough buyers.

I never dreamed I would trigger you this hard.

This person is salty because M+ doesn’t have more time sensitive exclusive rewards.

People enjoy mount farms.
Why take away content from others so a small percentage can feel like special snowflakes.

They have the mount and an achievement. Good for them.
No one but them cares about them.

Its not going to make people suddenly be mythic raiders.
Its just going to stop people farming old content. And that would be a right shame.

Still a hard no from me stranger.

Who wants “demand” when some guilds charge 2-4m for only CE “plus” the title… the gear is worthless at this point and some guilds charge extra for all the gear traded, the mount might be another price… last I checked it was 5M the entire thing.

I’m sure there’s “big” demand from players for 5m… 2 mounts is fine you make a good cut already I bet.
