Equip the trinket

I have tried twice this week and it doesnt work. I equip Engraved Gold Ring and /kneel and nothing. I have seen alliance characters come up and successfully do it yet I can not. I have tried pick pocketing a new ring, relogging, kneeling before and after equipping ring. PLZ fix this its very frustrating
You need to get a Silver Ring too. It is In a chest in the chapel in the cemetery next to Darkshire. (81.2/71.8) Equip both rings Go to Ravenhold Cemetery Knee in front of the statue at 19.9,45.5.
