Sometimes I really wish that instead of Sylvanas becoming warchief it would have been Baine Bloodhoof. That way we could’ve scrapped this entire Sylvanas/jailer story arc and had a more Azeroth-centric story. One where we organically progress from BFA to Dragonflight with much more content. Thoughts?

This issue is that once it is discovered a mistake has been made, Blizzard is never willing to say, this isn’t going to work. We need to tear it apart and start again.
They had plenty of time to step back and see it wasn’t going to work. But they decided to go with it anyway.

They’re not going to retcon out an entire expansion. Give up on that fantasy. Shadowlands happened.

Right, no one is expecting that. Just wishful thinking that they couldve avoided shadowlands had they taken another route with the lore.

We need an Orc to bring the Horde back to greatness. A vote for Slogosh is a vote for the true Horde, and we’ll make The Horde Great Again!

I’m not proposing that. I’m saying use your imagination and discuss a better story arc.
Surely discussing a better story arc than shadowlands should be easy.
I also wish Baine would have been made Warchief so he would have been the one to be killed off.

… Baine? Perfect for Warchief of the Horde? Yeah no… he’s just a raging man child lately… he’s lucky to still be chief of the bloodhoof tauren. His father Cairne however, that would of been a warchief I’d of happily followed… but they killed him off screen in Cata… and replaced him with Baine.
It never fails to make me laugh that they did a lot to push Vol’jin as the next Warchief during Mists. Then the guy never was around for much of Warlords besides congratulating you on your efforts for establishing a foothold on Draenor in the cinematic upgrading your Garrison to 3rd Level.
Then the mfer dies to a trash mob on the Broken Shore.

I laugh with shock and bewilderment. They handled Vol’jin brilliantly through MoP and then just threw it all in the trash.
That reveal in the end of SoO cut scene was an all time great moment for WoW. “I speak for da horde.”

I feel if we had Vol jin we definitely wouldve avoided SL. Maybe BFA and after DF…So much wasted potential.
