Is there any way to customize the forums in a way to specifically block seeing certain types of posts, perhaps by blocking keywords?
Your best bet is to only use the forums when you’re looking for info on the game. Otherwise, leave and don’t look back (or stay and suffer like the rest of us)

That is not a feature the forums currently have. You can Ignore a specific user though so you don’t see their posts.
You can also mute an individual thread by going to the end of the thread, bottom left, and under tracking 
select MUTE. That will remove the thread from your forum index totally. You won’t see that thread again.
The mute button will hide certain posts.
You could, in theory, build a browser extension that would do so.
I was going to bring this up, I know of a few other games where the forum users have developed browser addons to improve user experience. But I don’t know Blizz’s specific take on the matter.
