I was perusing the races and classes to choose what I would be making for the Timerunning Pandamonium Event and I was met with that old realization that there are so many races who are DROWNING in customization. Why do Humans and Night Elves have so many different colours and choices to choose from when Draenei and Nightborne have so little? It’s crazy to me that I can make a Dracthyr feel so much like my own creation with even small things like changing her underwear style and colours, and yet making a Vulpera is just a few clicks and I look like everyone else.
Why can we not just have all the colours and hairstyles and eye(and eye glow) colours across all races? Why not add more tattoos/runes/colours/underwear options/jewelry/scars/horns etc? We have the technology, Blizzard. Please, let all the races share all/most of the customizations.
Lotta scalies work at Blizz.

I don’t. However, I only chose a few that I was thinking of making for the event. There are too many with little customizations. I agree that Mechagnome is no different.
I agree, they have little to choose from as well. Draenei got red and more grey skin. So, sure…“some love”.
I think they can still expand more on what all races can have and use. It wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility to have Nelf hairstyles and colours on other races or Kul Tirans to have the same Human customizations.
No, draenei got a whole swathe of new customisation options back in shadowlands. All the core races did, then some of the allied races. But then some got nothing.
But for the record I absolutely agree that they all need more. Dracthyr set a new standard and everyone is now vastly lacking in comparison.
I would have preferred getting a bunch of new customizations for current races, especially those that are lacking, over another allied race.
Shadowlands is often forgotten in my mind.
But yes, I didn’t go into depth of everything wrong with most of the races. I exampled some purely to keep it short. Expanding the character creation/barbershop to let us have any styles and colours we want that are already in the files and adding more customization to all the races is the main focus. Dracthyr stands out a lot when you look at how much you can change compared to so many who lack any kind of creativity offered.
Yeah sorry, I didn’t mean to make it a competition with the kul tiran and mechagnomes. It was just me throwing a pity party for them.
To be fair, I should have opened with them. They are lacking the most and there’s so much fun Blizz could have had with them.
Kul tirans are getting a few new hair colours in 10.2.7 which is nice.
Now they just need some new hair cuts and beards and they will be up to “below average” and not dumpster tier.

I wouldn’t even say humans and night elves are swimming in customizations compared to Dracthyr. And the disparity between Dracthyr customization and that of the other races is legit stupid.
All races need class/race themed tattoos and warpaint.
All need scars.
All need visible rings, bracelets/watches and necklaces, as well as all races/body types need more piercings
All need more beard options, long, scraggly, oily, dirty, wizard, viking, half gone(undead).
Straight backs for all!
A lot are seriously lacking face options…so many are just weird, or old and haven’t been updated or in some cases were updated and lost some of the better choices(goblin).
I could go on I’m sure, but these are the main things that stick at to me that bug me for some of my alts.
Pretty sure Blizzard take care of the races they play first, and the others get what they get whenever they feel like getting around to it… maybe in a few years? maybe in a few expansions? maybe never?
Goblins should have one healthy ear option with a mangle meat flap on the other side.
As well Gobbos need more bolts and screws instead of pseudo generic troll bone piercings.
Tattoos would be nice, though I want dirt, grim / grease slider. All my gobby gals are Alch & Engineering, I want soot and oils stains.
Also, need more rugged good looks for males and more plainer to pretty faces for female goblins that are not just short green Angelia Jolie or Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez (RIP) with floppy ears and different hairstyles that are not just from Scrubs, Waterfall and Creep Music videos.
It bugged me when they “updated” the goblins years ago, because I had a guy with a look I really liked but the changes made him look goofy, and I don’t really care for any of the other male faces. I was pretty disappointed deleting him, but I just didn’t like him anymore. Goblins need a lot of new options for sure!
While I normally think races should have unique customizations from one another, I must admit the hair style option being limited has always felt weird to me. I can go to, say, a theoretical barber shop in Darnassus (don’t know if they have one, just stick with me for a minute) but can’t get nelf hair?
I think it would be cool to have to travel to a certain barber to get certain hairstyles unique to other races, personally. Or just add them all in to all shops, but that would be a lot of hair options.
