With Dragonflight soon coming to an end, I had an awesome idea to further add customisation, rather then Glyphs which we have zero at the moment why not enable Dracthyr to be able to align themselves with either flight for further added unique visuals.
A lot are already in game used by many of the Dragonflight leaders. This is just a way to easily give them to the players.
For example, I prefer the Bronze Dragonflight, I can then speak to Nozdormu and gain a passive buff that can be in the general Spell Book called “Bronze Affinity”.
Essentially this will give the player unique visuals for that Aspect including.
- Nozdormu’s Visage - Dracthyr smoke change animation.
- Sand on Wings animation and a unique Bronze Sand Trail when Soaring.
- Most Abilities will be changed to Bronze versions, Living Flame, Disintegration etc.
All aspects in game have unique visage smoke, wing visuals and all, why can’t we have them?.
This can only be visually seen by the player if it makes it easier similar to Warlocks Soul Shard glyph that only visually seen by the player, but I think it be awesome to align specifically with a certain Aspect for flavour and customisation.
All that’s required is speaking to any of the Aspects up top in Valdrakenn to align with them.
Can switch when you please anytime.
Thoughts?
I specifically wanted to also add something cool to soar to help keep it interesting as some mounts when summoned are awesome and visually cool.

it sounds cool, the problem is… they couldn’t even give us separated transmogs in the span of an entire expansion.

I know, it’s just a suggestion, I think the it would be insanely cool if something like this could happen, it’s more a Dream Suggestion then anything.

We can get somewhat close with the cosmetic elemental shoulder enchants. Saw them on the AH and a few look pretty good.
Anyway, more cosmetics are always a good thing especially when it’s part of the story. Thumbs up from me.
I think the idea is very nice and lovely, but unfortunately there are two things that stand in the way:
- Only aspects get these special effects, I haven’t seen any other dragon with them. Evokers are extremely powerful and talented lore-wise, but they are not aspects.
- The whole idea behind evokers is that they evoke all five dragonflights. Changing disintegrate, a blue spell, to a bronze spell, makes no sense.
But I do agree that we need some glyphs to let us identify with a particular flight beyond our class specialisation. It would be really nice if we could choose the colour of Visage instead of having it always be a Red spell. Visage isn’t specific to red dragons.

Visage doesn’t have any spell school, it’s categorized as a physical ability.
I think they mean the visuals, all the flights have a unique visual when changing but it seems we have the same as the Red Dragonflight.
Which I was suggesting we could change with my idea.
It should just grab your primary color and use that

Well each flight in game currently have their own unique visual and aesthetic, shame nothing like this becomes a players choice .
Love this idea
For the bronze affinity, it should unlock hairy eyebrows and beard for the dracthyr. Nozdormu is one of the only dragons that has facial hair.
Blue dragons should get arcane crystals/runes on their bodies, and the fractured jawline option like what Kalecgos had in BC.
Green dragons should get an eyes closed option, like they’re dreaming when out of combat (or even in combat). And maybe leaving a trail/footprints of life behind them
Red should get a red eye glow and maybe small flames flickering out of their mouth. Kind of like DK eyes how they have the blue smoke effects.
Black dragons I’m not really sure on a specific option. Maybe smoldering scales? Or lava cracks in the skin? Or fiery claws?
Just some ideas

I would have loved to at least have a way to represent the Flight we wanted to, even if it was not as expensive a list of changes as the initial post.
At the very least I would have loved a way to change the smoke when you change forms. Would love a blue or a gold.
