I currently play WoW on a M3 2023 Macbook Pro using the trackpad (I know, no mouse). Whenever I CMD + Tab out of the game while moving the camera, the camera gets stuck and the cursor no longer works/shows in the game. Cannot pan the camera nor move/see the cursor.
Replication Steps:
- Pan and hold the camera via right clicking on the trackpad (two finger press) to move the camera but don’t release the pressure on the trackpad like you wanna keep moving the camera around.
- While panning, CMD + Tab out of the game then go back to the game
- ??
- Profit (aka bug hit)
When returning to WoW, the cursor is completely hidden and doesn’t work. The only way out is to /exit out of the game to restart it.

I’ve had this issue a handful of times as well on a 2019 Intel iMac, but I am using a mouse. I wasn’t even really sure what I was doing differently that caused it, just tabbing more rapidly than usual so probably clicking down before tabbing out. Force quitting the app was the only solution I found, I didn’t know /exit would work!
Additionally, when alt tabbing without clicking, returning to the game makes the cursor stick to the wrong graphic. Like it will be stuck on the loot cursor or skinning cursor if that’s what I did before tabbing. I will constantly think I have new loot around. The only fix is to hover over something else you can interact with to set it to the proper icon. I reported that issue awhile ago, but it’s still an issue.
