You have to wonder who thought this was a good idea for a blessing in Torghast? I mean, yes it boosts your Int, Strength or Agility by 3% every time you release a captured soul but it also removes 1% of your Stamina too, which really hurts Demo (and may not be much fun for some melee either).
What irks me about it is it’s a “blessing” that’s meant to make Torghast easier, and the only way to counter it is by getting the trait; Enduring Souls, which you can only get to after spending 500 Tower Knowledge.
I just finished a Torghast run with this “blessing” and it made my Wrathguard feel as soft as butter. So, you’ve got to wonder why they made it a “blessing” that I think you’re stuck with for a day!
It’s fine. Just stack some health buffs to counter it. 1% per soul honestly isn’t much, by the end you’re looking at about 15-30 souls based on wing and rng, and a couple Obleron Endurance or a Secret Spices will fix that right up. Meanwhile you get a tonne of bonus intellect out of it which more than makes up for the Tyrant damage lost from hp scaling.
This is more an ilvl issue than anything and you’ll have a much easier time in just 10 more ilvl. You gotta remember, while Blizz ilvl recommendations are a bit overexagerated, you’re still kind of punching above your weight here.

1% per soul adds up to a significant amount. If you get 5 souls per level then you’re looking at 20% stamina loss by the time you reach the boss. That hurts!
Yes, but that loss is easily made up for by Endurance and Secret Spices, among other hp boosting powers, which are all very good for demo to take anyway, and that 20% stamina loss also comes with an additional 40% int on top of the 20% int souls normally give, which more than makes up for the DeCon hp damage loss.
I’m not saying it won’t make you and your pet squishier, I’m just saying it’s easy to adjust for, and it leads to you doing a lot more damage in general so things will also be dieing a lot faster. Some other classes are hit much harder than us by it because they’re forced to take more defensive powers to counter the hp loss, and they don’t get extra damage from those powers like we do.
Just remember that speed is actually not important for a good score, just take it as slow as you need to, clear everything, and get some of those bonus points, and you’ll easily get 4 or 5 star clears. No need to rush yourself, especially if you’re having difficulty surviving.
Agreed, but not the point I was making. If they’d just taken away the stamina boost it wouldn’t be a bother. The fact that a blessing is actually hurting you just feels wrong, especially on top of the curses. Also, Secret Spices and Endurance are RNG.
Lol just work on the box there is one that each soul give u 1% stam. So it counter the 1% u lose from the blessing
