Are Corruption effects active in instanced PvP?
Can confirm they are active in unrated environments such as random BG’s and skirmishes. Can’t comment on rated for certain but I believe they work there too.
Do they have reduced effects ?
Not from what I’ve seen. Was being chased by a forgotten one in the middle of bursting down a holy paladin. Was not fun.

Would like more info on what folks are experiencing with corruption negative side effects in BGs. I’m too skeer’d to equip more than my sad cloak can handle. 
Absolutely not. And they proc at the absolute worst times, it seems.

Accidentally deleted my post when I went to edit 
I swapped out the second best corrupted piece and it’s been much better. I just hate that I had to drop the positive aspect of that particular piece of gear. Alas. But for real, the corruption effects are no joke. Frustrating but pretty comical, I must admit.
After doing quite a few BG’s last night, I can confirm. They do indeed proc at the worst times.
Also, any thoughts on the ratio of positive proc vs negative proc. The negative is graphically noticeable so it seems to proc constantly. I’m not sure what the positive proc looks like

I’m guessing getting the eyeball to break a sheep or blind or something. Or maybe sometimes I just want to know that someone out there notices me, even if that someone is a terrifying ocular horror from beyond space and time.
I named my eyeball Jeremy, naming it makes yelling at it so much more fun.

I can’t remember the name of it, right now, but there is a positive proc that increases secondary stats by a certain number, stacking (builds up and then drops down), that is pretty decent when it does proc. It tends to proc more for me in PvE settings than PvP, however.

I’m currently sitting at +10 corruption rn in my current gear so this is just my experience with the 1st level effect Grasping Tendrils (sub-20 corruption).
It’s kind of annoying but hardly crippling, personally I’m more annoyed by the void-ish particle effects around my character than the actual debuff. It’s a 20% snare for 5 seconds, as a Druid if it really comes to it I can just shapeshift out of it. Was letting the tank training dummy wail on me for a bit and it didn’t proc all that much, don’t know the real proc rate or if it has an internal cooldown but felt like ~once a minute maybe?
A class w/ a passive permanent movement speed buff like a Feral druid or a Demon hunter would probably not even notice anything. And in PvP I’m assuming a stronger debuff like Hamstring would overwrite it anyways though I don’t know for sure I haven’t had time to check.

I love them. I absolutely melt everyone…
Luckily I have a lot of movement and immunity/ heals to deal with the debuffs.
Probably only good for certain classes.
I have infinite star on my boomie and it constantly procs. I cackle like mad in epics.

I finally brought my corruption down so I wouldn’t get chased by a voidy me anymore

I cleansed that off two pieces of gear as it is it one of the worst for DK’s.
It was on my weapon and added 60! Corruption! I was glowing red with that + my bracers, sitting at 80+ corruption…yikes

I know the cape isn’t on GCD, but can you activate the cloak while stunned. I want to know so I can keep someone in their own corruption.
