Current state of SCRAP heaps

So it seems nobody does these anymore? Or at least nobody on my shard and there were no groups in the group finder and after listing a group for half an hour I got no bites. So I decided experiment on my own to see what the situation was solo.

Doing them solo with the following:

  1. Completely ignoring all the spawned hostile mobs that would otherwise take up valuable digging time killing them.
  2. Spending the 100g each time on the SCRAP bot to assist you.
  3. Picking up the kaja cola cans that give you the buff for digging speed.
  4. Being max renown so as to benefit from the account wide digging buffs.

Even with all these factors combined, it seems that it is still impossible to max out a scrap dig. The most I could average out was about 400-420 out of the cap of 500 before running out of time. Without the SCRAP bot’s assistance, that number goes down to about 300-350.

Thankfully you still get max Darkfuse rep currency (market research) at the 2/3rds 350 mark. But all in all I was still disappointed by how much effort and gold one needs to put into these solo and still not be able to cap these things out.

I thought blizz patched them to be solo friendly?

I still find 2 or 3 people always show up at everyone I do

If I have to I’ll just solo them to get the quest done.

I turned off Warmode and there’s people doing them regularly, with Warmode on, well, that’s where it’s really empty lol.

Depends on the hours of the day, too.

I play real late, and from like 4am to 7am, there’s certainly less people, if any, doing them.

But any other time of day? 3-4 people, sometimes entire crowds of 12+ farming these.

Those vintage cans, are rare.

Are you farming Darkfuse with the Heaps?

I’m planning to do a 12 hour sit down over that, ouch.
