I think the idea is farming gilded crests and having access to mythic track gear is/should be “reasonably” equal in difficulty/rewards between keys and raids?
People got used to the best loot being easy to get and now they are mad there’s a little effort/skill involved.
But it wasn’t easy. I still had to put in time as a casual player. Even then I only got 1 or 2 myth gear pieces.
As a casual player, it still is difficult -actually more difficult. For the top 10% nothing changes. For us puggers, we are struggling. Especially when we have those players who do not take the time to learn this season’s strategy, I am still stuck on 4’s, and I can not upgrade my champion gear or hero gear as fast. Many failed dungeons take a toll on us players. I do not have the time to play as much. Last season I barely failed keys/leavers/troll. Just yesterday I had 4 leavers for 2 dungeons I tried (with a friend). Eventually went to bed and could not get my 3rd hero track vault slot.
Did you forget that Mythic Raids have a weekly lock out? Wow great they got 4 kills down for the week, now what?
so far m+ has been my go to place when i wanna enjoy wow after a hard day. like i wasnt always playing at the highest of levels and defo not each season.but each season the common thing was that i could progress my character via m+ and that was my endgame and it worked just fine. sure some weeks were better than others but i always knew i had a steady progression and realistically the world first cutting edge keys and my level had inbetween so much content for me that it was more than enough for a whole season.
with this squish im at 11s all done with ++ and i cant find groups for 12. my progression has suddenly stagnated to nothing. noone accepts a non fotm class and pugs are a nightmare atm.
in pre squish levels ( and without the moronic ultra jump from 11 to 12) that woould be many weeks worth of content for me . i time my 20s then slowly work my way to 21 ( note that its at least 2-4 weeks of content since you need both fort and tyranical) ,then again 22 -23-24-25 . usually the season finds me at about title level or just below . but i had tons of content .
people forget but with the tyranical/fort rotation you had at least some kind of progression also each other week. noone complained about that , everyone complained about the other affixes that were straight up trolling from blizz part.

Did you forget the best in dungeon loot in m+ is heroic tier? Going 2/8 in mythic gets you 1.4 pieces of mythic gear a week clearing 8 10s gets you 1.
More people have gone 2/8 mythic (around 2100 guilds about 42k) than run all 8 10s (about 40k) about over 1300 guilds (26k) have run 4/8 mythic (1.8 pieces of mythic loot)

No, Clearing 1 10 gets you 1. Also not all those people were clearing 2/8 on week 1. Your math is terrible.
I’m beginning the season with a 610 Holy priest and damn, just a +4 is hard as hell and the affixes are not fun at all.
My goal being the 2500 rating in MM+ like i did in S2 and S3 in DF, don’t tell me that i have to do a +10 in every dungeons? (meaning a +20 in DF)
I got KSM last night. Working on portals next. So far I think 7’s are just a little too punishing with the timer reduction. Im having more depletions this season than any season I’ve done so far.
Personally im tired of playing this way. I wish I could get the delve relaxation but in a dungeon like it used to be when I first started playing. Cant go afk for 2 min to fix something or answer the door. Cant communicate with my team very well because its pack to pack pulls. High stress environment the whole time more or less and im not even doing the high keys.
Having a 610 ilvl and getting declined for +2s is why I haven’t tried to do many keys this season endless queing for low keys feels great
I’m angry that the last boss in dawnbreaker feels bugged… but “not”… by the new mythic affix this week. I wish something will be done about this. Was going to increase my mythic score but the boss became unkillable.
When even the ones at Liquid agreed this season’s reward system is perplexing, you know it’s a mess.
Also this week’s affix is absolute donkey crap. No way in hell you can actually do it without major headaches unless you run shaman. Just did a 10 boralus earlier without a shaman, and it was hot garbage.
Doubling down on meta comps like this is unacceptable and an absolute failure of design on the Dev’s side.
Then enjoy your abysmal M Rating. Or use your own key.

While this is true, it is dismissive of what is a valid point. As a mythic group kills more bosses, each raider’s expected number of mythic item level items rises, up to the point of full clearing the raid. Meanwhile whether you clear 1 or 100 M+10 keys, you get at most 1 mythic raid item that week, with no overlap if you also kill those mythic raid bosses.
Now to be clear, I am not suggesting this is bad and should be changed. Just highlighting there is some merit to the suggestion that mythic raiders will get mythic item level gear faster than M+ players.
