Anyone else (who are 2400-2500ish at best after some inflation) finding the glad wins/maintaining 2400 insanely difficult right now? Every game is just:
The same LFG rotating through each other who are trying to get glad as well, actually kinda sad.
R1 players on alts, high exp glad people on their alts of the same class, for example I was facing paloumortwo last night, a rogue who is already like 2800 this season on his 2nd rogue alt with some other xp players just gatekeeping the 2400 hunndo bracket. Like why?
Glad carries
Outside of that, you just fight the same team over and over. Queues are super long as well. It’s so sad.
Current glads, r1s and boosters have also been gatekeeping the 1400-1600s. I think I remember seeing somebody say they’re also gatekeeping 1800 and even 2100 as well. These dudes are big time dicks and they need to be banned from all Battle.net games
mostly just spamming games for stream content because they enjoy playing but queues higher up outside of primetime are dead/hard to find
high xp/cr mains spamming games on alts at like 2400 isn’t new to this season or even this expansion though
it only feels more relevant now because 1 glad is accountwide so you’re constantly shown who you’re playing against when you’d otherwise have no idea
2 a large portion of the player base quit because the game is bad, the systems are bad, and the company is bad
the majority of that portion is made up of likely the less dedicated/committed that pad participation and are actually trying to progress at 2400 (or lower)
Makes you wonder that if these people didn’t do this, would the ladder be even more dead, or more active? Is this the biggest reason why the ladder is dead at this rating, or is it dead because of all the other issues that plague the game? If I had the guess, the ladder would be even more dead if there weren’t any R1’s, glad alts, and boosters.
Games dead. Just look at how many streamers rather play tbc pvp than retail.
C9 team logs on 3 days before a tournament then goes back to tbc.afterward. It’s not just the awful systems, but I think a lot of people don’t find the gameplay fun once you slog thru all the chores.
I don’t think 9.1.5 will bring people back, maybe 9.2 when there’s new content.
They still haven’t done anything for reducing honor gear cost by like 90%, reducing conquest honor upgrades by at least 50%, and increasing conquest point gains to catch-up ASAP.
I actually don’t mind the gameplay of arena right now. Sure there are broken things that are really irritating but I have fun in a lot of match ups.
What makes me really not want to play is finding partners usually lol, and the alt unfriendliness. I can only play one same character for so long each week before I want to play another until reset.
Imbalances in gear and the ladder are pretty gross atm. Just keep q’ing and getting better. Or leave the game, idk. But def steer clear of forum bashing. 100% approval, props, and well-wishes to everyone here.
Legit that is garbage if people are actually going out of their way to make the game worse for you.
But….This sounds like a first world problem to me.
At 2400, you have all the gear you could want and are playing at the top few % of all the players in the game.
I think all that will be left of WoW PVP will be players who got 2k +. Getting R1 is only going to get rougher as more and more of the sub 1500 players quit.
i honestly don’t see how people think TBC is fun, i got on it for like a month just bc everyone else was and i was bored out of my mind. retail is 10x more fun imo
at 1600 rating my aff lock/rdruid (random guy who played this one literal game with me and rage quit) fought a full conquest rival geared frost dk/rshaman team.
He blew through my fleshcraft, unending resolve + dark pact within 8 seconds while I was fighting through wind shear/mind freeze/lichborne/ams/amz/grip and literally could not do anything to peel him or get away. My dots tick for 800 dmg. He blew through a 100k shield in 12 seconds or less with his shaman helping.
He had 60k hp baseline, shaman was 57. What exactly should someone in half aspirant half conquest gear who just started playing again do versus two rival geared full conquest players? Quit? Because that is currently the state of the game.
