I read a lot of complaints on these last week when they launched.
This morning got up a little earlier than usual to do something in game before work on my Ally guy and one was up, so I figured I would give it a shot.
I didn’t see any problems. Acted just like the Legions ones, minus the going into the demon Star Destroyer scenario.
The XP gain was decent too. Went from 6% into 118 at the start to 51% by the finish.
Did they tweak them or work the bugs out?
They may have fixed bugs with quests. But many people aren’t liking the fact they aren’t as lucrative as the Legion invasions were for XP.

Oh. Didn’t do the Legion ones until I hit 110, so I don’t have a point of comparison. I thought a 40% bump overall for a handful of quests was pretty good though.
Legion invasions would give 1.5-2 levels depending on bonus experience offerings.

Yeah, they could be pretty ridiculous when it came to experience, I think I usually managed about 1.5 levels. They were more spread out and, depending on your character and how well they were geared for their level, some of the kill-quests could take a long time, though. There were also six quests per Legion invasion, I think, whereas now we have five.
The trade-offs for the BfA Incursion model are that leveling characters do get to do the quest at the end to bring down the airship or assault the final commander or what-have-you, instead of just doing the main WQs and leaving off, and you do get a 10% experience boost for an hour afterwards.
I think they’re pretty cool; they’re not as powerful for leveling as their Legion counterparts, but I actually find the short final quest thing to be a lot less of a drag than some of the Legion scenarios were at the end, and with a more regular source of tangible rewards. Plus, you get Conquest for each of the quests, which incentivizes both max-level and leveling characters to participate. It’s a lot of fun.

Did a couple. They were okay. Nothing ground breaking. The end quest is annoying because the NPCs aggrieved about 10 times the mobs that I would doing it solo.
Don’t see them as leveling vehicles as many other players.
Well, I should first clarify that I think that most people complaining about this expansion have gone past the point of being whiners to full blown crybabies.
That being said, I honestly am REALLY enjoying the invasions for the WPvP and PvE content. It’s something I am excited to log in and do at this point much more than Warfronts and Island expeditions.
Yeah, I do them for the PvP that ends up taking place at the WQs. It’s been years since I’ve had this much fun in WPvP, I’m loving it. I can only ever catch a couple a week due to the times they spawn though, so that always kind of sucks.

They are basically Legion Invasions is my issue with most of the issues regarding BFA. Nothing really was innovated on. I appreciate that it’s more close together and the end scenario is solo since having it in a group (Val’sharah comes to mind) where things rarely went good at least for the GROUP I was in.
I look at fun over reward.
Legion Invasions had more XP gained I felt and it was ok in Legion but to basically not innovate on it in BFA feels bland for me.
Yeah the timing is kinda rough. I work nights on 12 hour shifts so im lucky I caught the one this morning, but I think it’s not going to line up with my schedule for at least another few days.
According to the good ol’ Jeeves bot in our discord:

I’ll be able to hit these next four at least.

What I don’t like about the initial setup with incursions is that you really don’t get that much EXP for completing them, but then they compensate you at the end with dropping a 10% EXP on you that lasts an hour. Not really helpful for anyone unless you’re still leveling or alting around.
I had no idea how much xp the old invasions gave.
