the source of the void and light is at the center of the isles. but we dont discover it till 10.2

The messaging seems to have shifted in recent interviews from “we may get to archeology later” to “it’s a content offering, not a profession.”
(Maybe we need to start calling them “borrowed minigames”?)
on a related note of dragons.

Fun fact, Dragon Isles was originally planned to be a max level (70) vanilla raid, as shown on this early vanilla dev map.
So if the original plan for original WoW’s content had stuck, Dragon Isles would’ve been a raid after leveling to 70 in EPL, Blasted Lands, and Outland and would’ve been adjacent to Black Temple. Our reasons for going there no doubt would’ve been very different.
and knowing blizzard…something will not have DH"s see them again.

i can think of all the textures and ways to cook the dragons.
proto dragons or even ones based off the dragon flights (probably non-allied ones)
like a spicy bbq ribs for the black dragons if they ever majorly appear again to harass us.
A red one cooked into a sweet n sour way, cause life n all that.
or even a dished out blue dragon with weird seasoning to make it taste interesting.
i very much wanna eat one now…
Pretty sure there will be a few gather some dragon bones, or dragon blood vial quests, and kill x amount of dragon enemies lol.

The factions are not sending armies(the armies are busy leering at each other, waiting to hit each other in the fact) we know for a fact it is the League of Explorers/Reliquary going to the isles.
I wonder if that image is legitimate. If so, it looks to be EK instead of Kalimdor which people been claiming since the announcement. They might’ve changed it. I really have no clue. It would make more sense that they stayed closer to EK… I kept reading about Tyr around too.
Not sure what is going on with isles just ancient guy awakened and summoned dragon for reasons. They might explain why in the future.
They cut it out. It sucks. Could have had some fun stuff with it.

I can’t really give anything from a lore perspective, but I can definitely give you something from a conspiracy theorist whose ramblings make perfect sense to himself.
I think this is some form of self sabotage. If someone asked me what the worst possible idea they could come up with, for what is probably the most important xpac the game’s ever had, I’m guessing dragons would be somewhere in the first several guesses.
I guess I’ll have to wait and see how it’s executed, but so far I can’t imagine how it could be much worse
