What area would you like a new expansion to be based out of?

It’s getting more and more difficult to add new continents on Azeroth

If you watch Azeroth spin on the vindicaar you can see kalimdor and eastern kingdoms covering the whole planet like our IRL plant earth does with north America and europe

There is no “other side” of azeroth

At this point I really don’t care what the theme is.

MoP had a really stupid theme but it was an amazing xpac.

Not a new mass of islands. A new continent. Like Northrend size.

Where are you going to put that at on the map of azeroth

You can’t especially not northrend size

You have to have another “cataclysm by Deathwing” damage to happen

Preferably 4, but I don’t see them doing another cataclysm style revamp so I guess 3.

I don’t really care if they have to retconn the world map to make it fit tbh.

Thank you for sharing that. I can see it being more difficult to add another landmass with all that we have on Azeroth. My first choice would be to stay on EK/Kalimdor with the destruction from Cataclysm being revamped, and the dimension/portal and new planet as a tie.

I want to see the other side of Azeroth. Just what did that Nelfin pirate find over there? Maybe a proper celtic themed continent with new Titan watchers and their creations that don’t like the ones on our side.

I would like to see a reboot of the entire game. Take it all the way back to vanilla, so Azeroth.

  1. Whatever… Doesn’t matter what the end result is, people will complain.

Though, I would like to say I am not a fan of Cataclysm’s or Shadowland’s spread out zones. Each zone was nice but I don’t want to travel extensively to go from one zone to the next. Even with portals ala Cataclysm, it was annoying.

It’s a small thing, but I really hate this too. Also having to take a boat between the horde and alliance areas in BFA was similarly annoying.

You only see the top half of the planet while spinning… the bottom half could have something there.
Kalimdor > Pandaria > Eastern Kingdoms > Something > Kalimdor

Also there is no reason another land mass can’t rise(controlled to not cause tsunamis) from the depths of the seas without causing a revamp of other zones.

Or … hear me out, something could land (get it? haha) on the water between the continents and just float there. Think of something like a planetary space ship.

And where is the Dragon isles on that? Where is Kul Tiras and Zandalar on that? Hell, it doesn’t even show Northrend which should be clearly visible. Not to mention all the maps in game that show all the continents on one side.

They retcon the map and the globe every time they make a new xpac on Azeroth. That is meaningless.

A new planet or dimension please. Something that gives blizzard room to make the fantasy of world of warcraft feel fresh. Because let’s face it, on Azeroth now it’s just an invasion expansion or the exploration of another cut and dry hidden landmass that has no uniqueness to it.
