Curious how exactly devs make a coffee?

We were told delves would take “as long as it takes to make a cup of coffee”.

So I’m assuming we are flying to Columbia planting beans, waiting for it to grow, harvesting beans, roasting them, flying back home, grinding them, using a French press to let it sit for 10 mins, pressing the coffee into a cup, finding a calf, letting the calf grow into a cow, milking the cow, planting some sugar cane, harvesting said sugar cane, adding both ingredients to the cup of coffee, then sitting down and take a sip.

If so they are bang on for delves taking the time to make a cup.

I haven’t timed it, but soloing bountiful 8s feels like 10m for me. And this is in the first two weeks.

So nah they don’t take long.

Easy to imagine that’ll be 6-7 minutes in a few weeks, which is the time it takes to make coffee (real coffee, not instant coffee lol).

I thought that was the dumbest advertisement for a game I have ever seen. They are so desperate to win back casual players.

I think it is glorious watching Blizzard eat crow here. Players have been complaining for years the game was too sweaty, that Ion took the game in a funky direction.

Either way yes, you make a good point.

I still don’t mind that they take longer, I’m afk so much anyway, I’ll wait on CD’s and step away, get distracted and so on.

I don’t think they were intending Delves to be what they’ve become tbh.

Maybe they meant making a coffee after watching the kettle boil. Because as our mothers always told us, that makes it take longer.

  • Developers’ notes: We’ve been closely monitoring progress in Delves, and we’ve seen that the median time to complete a Delve at higher tiers has been longer than we’d like for the majority of classes. We’ll continue to evaluate what might be needed to maintain difficulty across the tiers while also shaping the overall time that Delves take to complete.
