When it says “unique Algari gem color” does it count 2 colors in a multi-stat gem or does that count as 1 color in the scheme of a color palette? If it counts as 2, does that mean 1 critical chance & haste gem and 1 mastery & versatility gem fulfills 4 colors?
I’m pretty sure it only counts the primary color (what the tooltip says), so to maximize the effect you want, you need gems that are tagged as being a Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Onyx, and Amber.
Just for clarity, where does the tooltip say primary color only? All the colors in each gem are unique. Unique may translate to “there has to be no matching color” in your gear items
Are talking about the color of the icon? That’s pretty obviously not what it means…
the color are assigned to each stat what it enhances. the icon Blizzard just added it to make it clear to everybody what it means. I would rather hear something from someone who doesn’t assume or has close contact with Blizz support.
For a moment, I thought y’all were talking about the stuff they coat all of my tools with, because that would explain a lot about my language choices during home improvement projects.
There is Emerald, Onyx, Ruby, Sapphire, Amber. The guy told you this in the very first response. I have no idea why you think you need someone who is close personal friends with Jeremy Blizzard to answer this question for you.
I don’t know why you keep assuming the dual color on each gem is only a single color as if the word “dual” means 1. If you have a logical explanation, i would love to hear it. If you just read it somewhere so you are committed to that narrative, say so. You are assuming and it is not helpful. Maybe what you say is true, but you have yet to explain why and that is the most annoying part. A friend from Blizzard would 100% have more credit than these assumptions. If you think you have to present statistics and mathematical permutations, please do as that would be more credible than what I have read so far. I am pretty sure you don’t understand what i am asking. It is next level.
To lay it out more plainly with an example:
The tooltip lists the gem color beneath the name, that’s what it counts as. Even if it takes some of a second gem to craft, even if the icon has a second gem hiding in the back, the gem only counts for its main color and namesake.
So if you want to maximize the bonus from your Blasphemite, you’ll want to have all 5 colors present, like… to give an example, assuming you’re stacking Crit → Haste → Mastery/Vers, you might prioritize your sockets like this:
- Quick Ruby (Crit/Haste)
- Deadly Emerald (Haste/Crit)
- Blasphemite (Since the bonus reasonably exists now)
- Deadly Onyx (Mastery/Crit)
- Deadly Sapphire (Vers/Crit)
- Deadly Amber (Stam/Crit)
- At this point, Blasphemite’s bonus is maxed out, fill every additional socket with Quick Ruby
Now, it’s worth noting that how you weigh the value of maximizing the effects vs. stacking more of your favorite secondary is up to you, I’d imagine a lot of people skip using an Amber at all for example.
It’s just the colour assigned to the primary stat.
There are 5.
You can clearly see this with the run speed gem which gains 2% per gem and you can see it on the UI.
Crit damage is harder to see / verify so I understand the confusion.
Not the default.
