Facility in a food coma. Baked chicken for lunch. My coworker calls me the poultry whisperer, and said i did not disappoint today either.
Not one resident told me they were unhappy. And the line of staff waiting for food was funny to look at. Now i am on break before finishing and taking Boogy to back to school night.
6th grade, changing rooms, and an entirely new school system. I feel for muh baby
And I absolutely MUST have some of that. I can actually get regular Vernor’s down here (and Schwepps, but eww), but I’m sure I won’t have a chance to get the Black Cherry. But I’ll be able to get some, along with some pickled bologna, next week. My co-worker that had jury duty got it delayed until the end of October. So vacation (and “Up North”), here I come!
Ginger Ale always seemed so tame to me that I rarely drink it. When I was a kid I used to frequent this local pub in Santa Monica ( I was about 9, and yes, I had an interesting childhood) and used to get their Ginger Beer.
When I get a craving for it, it’s a bit of a challenge finding a version similar to it. I mostly find extremely sweet Ginger Beers, like a Jamaican style, which is good, but not really the same thing. I did find one made in Australia at my local store, which is really good. Has the right amount of bite and not too sweet.
If you’re talking about Vernors, probably! Both Texas and Colorado stores that I’ve seen has stocked it, though–it’s been in the specialty sodas that are opposite the name-brand (Pepsi/Coke and derivatives). Look for green and gold (its diet version is white but there’s still a bit of green and gold on it).
Poc covered the Faygo. Rock’n Rye is amazing.
Berry flavors for sure. Or cherry. Edit: Did a little reading up on it. Cherry for sure.
I’d also recommend Redpop. Strawberry soda. It’s like Big Red but without the caffeine, and a tad sweeter.
Grape and the cream soda are my third favorites.
Vernors is more a sweeter ginger beer than a ginger ale, I’d say. It’s a lot less sweet than Schweppes, and has a lot more of that ginger bite like the beer. It’s got sugar (high fructose corn syrup, actually ), but it’s definitely not on the level of other ginger ales.
Got my USB 3.0 hub all hooked up. Now I have my K100 keyboard, my HS80 Wireless Headset, and my Scimnitar mouse up and running. This is also kind of a test run of all those at the same time lol
